It’s 2022. Long gone are the days of judgment about other peoples’ bodies. We’re body positive, we’re accepting of all shapes and sizes, we’re embracing all the things that make us human. Cellulite, stretch marks, scars, you name it. But that doesn’t mean we’re not allowed to have insecurities from time to time, and that also doesn’t mean we’re not allowed to do something about those insecurities if we want to. Which is why I became certified in intimate lightening. I call it that instead of “bleaching” because it’s a largely misunderstood practice. There is no bleach involved, but rather a combination of different peptides, AHAs, and other brightening ingredients that will get your hyperpigmentation back to matching the surrounding skin. Now, a lot of people may ask “why would someone want to do this?” Well, it comes back to insecurities. A lot of people have discoloration in their intimate areas for lots of reasons. Pregnancy, hormones, menopause, age, friction, genetics, just to name a few. And it’s perfectly normal to have that discoloration. But if it’s something that bothers you, then there is something that is safe and effective that can be done about it.
