Had the most incredible spiritual time today having communion with 19 baseball players for the Gastonia Baseball Team and the Lexington Legends. What outstanding young men who represent their lives the way God would want them to. It has been an honor being their chaplain for the past four years.

The baseball season has begun! Covenant welcomed the new team and staff with a dinner to kick off their first season in Gastonia! And they're off to a good start!

I am very happy to announce that I have been reappointed to Covenant United Methodist Church for a fifth year. It is hard to believe I have been blessed to worship and fellowship with some of the most loving, caring, and incredible people you could ever be with. God is good.

The stone has been rolled away. Christ has risen . . . He is alive. Easter started with a moving Sunrise Service in the cool air. It was great to see so many come out so early and to see us all worshiping together. Afterwards we all were treated to a delicious breakfast thanks to Tony, Teresa, Scott, Kim and everyone else who helped. Then we had a joyful 10:30 service with some beautiful music, thanks to Rebecca and her group of talented singers. So good to see a lot of people who have been greatly missed there today. All I can say is thank you Jesus for allowing me to be part of such a loving church as Covenant United Methodist Church. God is good!!

Would love to see everyone at church service tomorrow at 10:30. The Rev. Dr. Laura Elliott, a native Gastonian, will be preaching. Laura is a missionary in Haiti and will be talking about her experiences there.
Please come out and represent Covenant UMC and make Laura feel welcomed.

This is one incredible lady. If haven’t been to Smith’s Soul Food Bistro in Gastonia you need to go. The restaurant was featured on Restaurant Impossible. You need to watch it before you go. It was Season 20 show 1. Please go support this restaurant and mission. Ms. Cheryl has a heart of gold and a mission to not only help the youth but also the people in her community. I promise you the food is as great as she is.
