While there is no guarantee that you will not bruise during a Botox or Filler Injection, there are a few things that you can do to help your chances of not bruising. 💉

❌ Don't consume alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours before treatment, even better; 48. Alcohol may thin blood and increase the risk of bruising.

💊 Avoid anti-inflammatory & blood thinning medications if possible for 3-5 days before treatment. This includes Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, St. John's Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil Supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil and other NSAIDS.

🍃 Taking Arnica tablets the week prior and days after injections can also help prevent and manage bruising.

While no one wants to bruise, it is a high risk. So use precaution before your injections!
