Long post. Color vs B&W. What's the best way for you my viewers to see what I see aesthetically?
To solve this question, I recently had a conversation with a photographer about color images vs black & white images.
I'm in the business of medical aesthetics. But when you look up the term aesthetics, you'll find it is the appreciation for natural beauty, especially in the arts!
So both myself and photographer are in the aesthetics business. The conversation continued about color v B&W photos. Furthermore, what should we post in the aesthetics business that helps the client capture what we as injectors see, especially when it's subtle?
The answer: both. Since we see in color everyday, a B&W image can be more powerful. B&W images makes the 'viewer' pause. B&W emphasizes form, contrast and shape...all of which we are enhancing with medical aesthetic treatmens. B&W images also eliminate color distraction.
But color is familiar, what we are comfortable with & what viewers sometimes want to see. So from here on out I'll do my best to post in both color & B&W.
