Long overdue on this post but we have officially re-signed the amazing Josie Sandford to a long term deal that keeps her with the Phaser Marketing team forever.

For anyone that has ever worked with us at Phaser you know how important Josie is to our entire business. She started with me way back in 2020 when PM was a side hustle. She then became our first full-time employee in May of 2023 when she graduated college which was the easiest/most obvious hire I have ever made.

The commitment, hours, positive energy, and love she puts into Phaser and ensuring the success of all of our clients is absolutely legendary. Josie has always been a part of our leadership team and I trust her opinion just as much (if not more) than my own. She takes this very seriously and does it in the most fun, relaxing, and energizing way.

We were doing a decent job delivering results for our clients but knew we had another gear we could shift into. We needed another stud on our team full-time. Someone who knew the intricate delicacies of Googles search engine. Someone who has had years of experience ranking websites, with a strong knowledge in coding and design. A person that cannot only match, but bring even more contagious positive energy to our team and our mission of serving the construction industry.

We are closing up the first half of the year today and heading into good ol' Q3 tomorrow!!

We spent the weekend reactively going through Quarters 1 and 2 while using that data to proactively establish goals for Q3 and how we finish out the year in Q4. This kind of stuff always fires me up as we look to continue elevating our company and every business that works with us.

Here are some of the key takeaways from the first half of the year

Focus and avoid Distraction: We have continued drilling down into the excavation niche and understand the industry we are serving. Our clients and the industry deserve our focus and we are going to continue focusing on adding value to the men, women, and businesses within it! We now have 57 full-time clients that work with us and they are all within this space. This gives us the data and experience we can leverage to improve our strategies with our current and new clients. We have broken our clients into three main divisions that are within the excavation space that we work with.

1. Excavation Companies (underground utilities, mass excavation, sewer lines, water lines, septic installs, grading, excavating, trenching, directional drilling, hydrovac excavation, storm systems, culverts, drainage systems, boring, aggregate hauling, erosion control, site development, aerial contour mapping, foundation digs, roadway and transportation infrastructure, commercial snow removal, etc.)

2. Hardscaping Companies (outdoor living, pergolas, retaining walls, shoreline restoration, heated driveways, pool decks, swimming pools, full lawn installs, landscaping, forestry mulching, land management, irrigation systems, outdoor lighting, commercial snow removal, commercial grounds maintenance, drainage systems, design/build services, paver patios, etc.)

3. Septic Companies (septic system installs, septic pumping, septic system repairs, clogged pipes, emergency services, sewer services, leach fields, water and sewer line repair/install, drain cleaning, portable toilets, wastewater management, septic inspections, etc.)

We also made a big shift in March of this year to roll out a strategy to bring more of our fulfillment team in-house at Phaser and in full-time roles. This is primarily to have an even higher focus on increasing the results we are able to generate for our current clients, to increase communication and support for them, to increase our profit margins, and to continue building out new products and value for our clients to make sure we never stay complacent and that they receive our best, always.

We are looking to continue growing at a steady pace with new and improved systems in place as we head into the second half of the year! Incredibly blessed to get to work with some of the most amazing clients in the excavation space and an incredible group of individuals that make up our Phaser team. Let's keeper rolling!!

One of my top 3 favorite industries to market for within excavation has to be septic services.

We have seen through the years that the average person doesn’t have a septic company on their mind until DISASTER STRIKES. Water is flowing into the basement on Thanksgiving, city sewer line busts, or when the homeowner forgets you need to have your septic tank pumped and forgets where it even is in their yard. What do they typically do? Jump on Google or ask friends for a referral.

They don’t want to be ridiculed by the company, but rather educated on what they can do to prevent these issues in the future. How can we get on a maintenance plan to prevent further damage to the whole system? What recommendations do you have? How can I easily contact you through your website, leave a review, and feel at peace with what we once thought was a disaster is now an easy fix for this septic company.

We have the ultimate PRIVILEGE of managing the website and online presence for Darrin and the crew at Wilson & Sons Septic Cleaning out in Michigan. They are absolutely public health professionals, and run a well maintained business, and wanted to make sure their online presence matched the way they did business. I got to meet Darrin while I was speaking at the MSTA conference and we have been working together ever since. Our goal is to build a business and a legacy, something that will outlive both of us and go on to continue serving the community. BREAKING NEWS

1st round pick in the 2020 Marketing Agency Draft, Brandon signed his 4 year rookie deal with a 5th year option with Phaser Marketing in August 2020. Managing graphic design projects for Phaser, producing the OG Phaser Friday Podcast (RIP) and most importantly, the main man behind producing the Dirt Bags Podcast, Brandon has been an integral part of the development of our teams skill set and positioning this franchise to bring home a championship.

This spring 2024, management knew we had to make a decision on either picking up Brandon’s 5th year option on his rookie deal, let him walk away and let another team sign him this year, or re-negotiate a full time deal to keep Brandon as a part of our organization long term. Phones were ringing and we felt the pressure as the Full Sail University standout graduates future was in question.

We can’t let him walk.

We are LIVE with a huge website drop this week. One of the Midwests finest excavation companies, 75+ years in the industry and they decided it was time that their online presence represented the quality of service they actually provide. Rumors were going around that Phaser was going to be making some key moves this offseason in free agency to bolster up our core team and continue adding top-talent to our roster.

We are incredibly excited to announce that we have signed a deal BRINGING THE OPERATIONS AND SYSTEMS PHENOM Connor Murawski onto our Phaser Marketing team in a full-time role.

Reigning out of Saint Petersburg, FL, coming in with an array of skills in digital marketing operations, building systems within marketing agencies, CRM and workflow management, background in construction marketing, and was ‘23 first team all-mustache.

This strategic move will help our internal team in a huge way as we continue to scale and focus on providing our current clients in the construction industry increased value, attention, and innovation 👊🏼
