These are certainly interesting times we are living in, aren’t they? I am thrilled to be living in “such a time as this.” We can see the beginnings of sorrows described in Matthew 24 by our King Jesus! What do you think about the horrific earthquakes in Turkey and other places ? Are you watching the growing alignment of the countries involved in the Ezekiel war? Have you taken notice of North Korea’s frequent missile launches? How about the attacks and threats against Israel? And the revival in Asbury? Amazing!! I wrote about all of this in my novel -The Final Awakening. It’s so exciting to see God at work fulfilling His prophecies of ancient times!

It is not a time to shrink back in fear but to “run the race set before us! “ We are supposed to be ”about our Father’s business”of building His Kingdom.

Hallelujah!!!

Psalms 46:6, 10,11
The Heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered His voice, the earth melted.
Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.

2 Kings 23
I was reading about King Josiah this morning. He was awesome. He did "that which was right," in the sight of the Lord by destroying all the high places in the land; killing the priests of baal and burned down their altars of worship to false gods. This passage also mentioned groves. Josiah destroyed the groves.

In my mind I thought, " what kind of groves - orange groves, lemon groves?" We had plenty of those in Yuma where I grew up. I didnt understand how groves connected to the acts of King Josiah . So I looked up the word 'groves' in my concordance. Groves were idols; clay images made to worship the goddess asheroth- the goddess of wealth, which brought happiness; and love and pleasure. Hmmmm

Do We in this nation- perhaps the whole world- worship our pleasure, our wealth, our abundance? Obviously we do not make clay images and bow to them- literally- we do not offer incense to the idols of plenty- of pleasure and self contentment- but do we yet trust in these things?

Do we trust in our bounty- our plenty- instead of the God who gave the bounty?

Do we worship the power of our nation instead of worshiping with Thanksgiving the One who gave us power as a nation?

Do we revel in our strength- in our powerful military strength- instead of rejoicing in the God of this nation's covenant which endowed us with such military excellence?

As I was reading through that chapter I was thinking -"God, it must have pleased you to watch Josiah tear down the idols. It must have appeased you to see him order the temple cleansed of idolatrous items and command a passover to be observed to the One,True God?"

But then I read on to find out that though Josiah did all that- still so many people still hard heartedly opposed him and did not come out to worship as a nation before the Almighty God.

What a horrific disappointment! Judgement came.

While there is still opportunity- let us all consider in our hearts and determine to trust in nothing but our Lord God. With much or little- our ultimate trust is in Him and no other.

I purpose in my heart to trust completely in Jesus- because vain is the help of man.

Just my thoughts and prayers to my Heavenly Father today.

II Kings 6:16-17..Fear not for they that are with us are more than they that are with them. And Elisha prayed and said, "Lord,I pray that you open his eyes. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and behold the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Be encouraged- God surrounds us with his armies. There are more angels with us than the enemies around us.

There is a scene in my novel that describes this angelic army fighting with a USS naval ship as an admiral watches the supernatural warfare about his ship. Check it out on Amazon- The Final Awakening.
