It’s awards season!! We are an NSPA Pacemaker finalist (winners announced in April) and won a CSPA Crown (color to be determined in March). Thank you 2022-2023 staff, EICs Maya, Angelina, and Jacob, and and for everything!! And thank you to and for recognizing everything that FELT LIKE NEW for us 🐻❤️

The National Scholastic Press Association awarded the Ingenium yearbook staff with their highest honor, a Pacemaker Award for the 2022 book ONLY. Adviser Jennifer Parsons traveled to San Francisco, CA to accept the award from NSPA Executive Director, Laura Widmer. Only four junior highs in the nation earned Pacemakers. Parsons also taught a class at the National High School Journalism Conference with Herff Jones rep Megan Sebold.

Since we submitted the final pages of the book before break, we’re taking the week to have some fun building blanket forts and creating a staff keepsake. The hard work starts back up next week as we create the spring supplement for you all!

Thank you Grizzly Nation and the 2020-2021 staff for all the support. Our book won a GOLD Crown today from The Columbia Scholastic Press Association. Only four middle schools in the nation earned this award. ❤️ Thank you CSPA!!

Two days of good news in a row! Thank you for naming our yearbook a Pacemaker Finalist. We are beyond proud to be a part of the history of NSPA and journalism excellence. ❤️

Despite having enough on our plate, the 2020-2021 yearbook staff did it again. ❤️ Thank you for the honor of being named a Crown Award winner.
