Did you know how you style your hair makes a difference in how the cut and color look?

One photo I brushed her hair back, in the other we round brushed it forward.

The cut looks similar, yes, but it does lay different at her shoulders and the color looks a lot different.

There’s nothing wrong with either style, but it is something to keep in mind.

Good hair and good vibes

These blow dry brushes are super popular, but did you know they could be destroying your hair?

If you have short hair, it’s ok to use them to dry your hair as well as smooth and give volume

However, longer than chin length and it’s best to let it mostly dry first. The heat from these is much too high to use to dry your hair from straight outta the shower.

Now, if you’re someone who goes 2 days or more in between washes, these beauties are perfect for touching up styles, smoothing frizz, or using with dry shampoo to freshen up 👌🏻

Progress

That’s what we all strive for. Whether it’s in our personal lives, business, or hair goals.

It’s our habits and consistent action that get us where we want to be.

If you’ve been around for a bit you know I have a goal to read 12 books this year, take an in person class each quarter and start the road to financial peace.

I’d like to share my progress with you all to help keep me accountable. I’ll be starting book 10 today!
I have made it to 2 in person classes (and several online). I am looking for one for this quarter though so if anyone has suggestions, I’m here for it (doesn’t have to be hair related). And my hubby and I have knocked out about 2K in debt! (and cut up the cards)

I’d love to hear any successes you’ve had this yr. Every step big or small is progress and I want to cheer you on 🌻

This sweet client had some fun with some blonde on her own and decided she wanted to bring it up a notch.

This is a perfect example of why I have packages instead of an a la carte menu. With a consultation I was able to tell which package to book (in this case Blonding Plus) and she didn’t have to worry about getting the verbiage right or booking the wrong technique.

☑️ Maintenance

8-10 weeks: gloss and treatment(around fall break)

15-17 weeks: gloss and trim (around Thanksgiving)

20-22 weeks: repeat the original process (Christmas break)

Now she’s got a plan that works around her breaks at school and is still low maintenance 🌻

If you’ve been out enjoying the pool or the lake, your hair is mostly likely getting thirsty

The best ways to protect and replenish your hair over the summer are pretty easy

Use a leave in conditioner before getting in the water. This helps fill your hair with moisture preventing it from soaking in the chlorine, salt water or even lake water. I like leave in

Then when you’re done in the water rinse your hair thoroughly to help get out any of those minerals that your hair may have soaked in. Take it a step further by shampooing and conditioning. I like swimmers pack

And weekly conditioning treatments are a must for anyone spending anytime outside, in or out of the water. For this I like hair mask or
