This is so accurate!! Town is NOT scary this week!! Yes there may be a bit more traffic! But it’s flowing so nicely! It kind of breaks my heart that an event that is supposed to be SO GREAT for our town is actually hurting the small local businesses 💔 Locals- we are all HERE for you!!! We know you aren’t going to leave and we don’t plan to leave!! Please remember that!! 🫶🏻❤️

I’m going to be transparent with all of you…our sales are significantly down this week along with many other downtown businesses I’ve spoken to. The majority of our locals have skipped town trying to avoid the Camporee. I get it. But, here’s what we’ve noticed. Stores are fully stocked, there’s not 55,000 people out and about in our community, cell phones are working, internet is working, the traffic is normal, everyone has been so kind & so grateful to be here. It’s nothing like everyone was so fearful it would be. This is just my opinion but it’s not the Camporee hurting our local businesses is the locals leaving or not going out as usual. Please 🙏 go downtown and show our local small businesses your support if you’re still here. We are missing our people! ❤️ Thank you!!!!!! 😊
