Ed Posh Scholarship Fund
Ed Posh Scholarship Fund The purpose of the Scholarship fund is to financially assist local area youth in attending college or career training.
The Fund was established in 1995 to honor Ed Posh, the former head pro of the Village Links Golf Course, for his contribution to the community and especially the local youth. During 2017 there will be 16 scholars in school; each scholar is awarded $4,000 per school year. Collectively they receive over $64,000 in annual assistance. To date the fund has awarded over $687,000 in scholarships to 90 students and there are 74 Posh scholar graduates.

The Ed Posh Scholarship Fund Announces Four New Scholarships for 2021!
The Board increased the annual stipend to a student 25% to $5,000 effective immediately. In 2021 and onward the scholars will receive $80,000 in annual assistance! Since inception in 1995 and including 2021 the scholarship fund will have provided $1,000,000 to 106 students. Thank you for your generosity.
Deborah Burzynski, chairman of the scholarship committee, announced the four new 2021 scholars, saying “It was a pleasure meeting so many talented scholars. The decision is difficult as we see so many exceptional candidates apply for the scholarship.”
The new scholars for 2021 are:
William Hohe: a senior from Glenbard West High School, will be attending the University of Illinois to pursue a degree in Photography and Photo Journalism.
Charles Duncan Menard: a senior from Glenbard South High School, will attend Purdue University to pursue a degree in Geology and Planetary Science.
Pavel Paunov: a senior from Glenbard North High School, plans to pursue a career in Psychology and Theater from the University of Illinois.
Colleen Shanahan: a senior at Glenbard West High School, will attend the University of Pennsylvania to study Nursing and become a Nurse Practitioner.

Ella McLaren: a senior from Glenbard South High School, will be attending the University of California San Diego to pursue a degree in Molecular Biology for the study of diseases.
Lazerick Smith: a senior from Glenbard West High School, will attend Hope College to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering.
Alyssa Torres: a senior from Glenbard North High School, plans to pursue a career in Bio Chemistry from Ohio State University. She would like to be a Pediatrician.
Grace Wallner: a senior at Glenbard South High School, will attend Hillsdale College to study mathematics and become an Actuary.
