NEW: Today, SBA announced more than $1 million in grant awards to three organizations in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Puerto Rico.
The grants will provide funding to establish new Veterans Business Outreach Centers, which will enhance training and counseling services for both new and existing veteran and military spouse small business owners. The three new centers will begin their project periods on Sept. 1.

Iam C. Tucker is the President & CEO of ILSI Engineering, a civil engineering firm in New Orleans that specializes in design projects and construction management. As a second-generation owner, Iam won contract awards across state, local, and federal agencies. Through the years, she has exponentially grown the business with dozens of employees and millions of dollars in revenue.
Iam completed the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program, which provides training and technical assistance to help small businesses compete for federal contracts. She also used an SBA-backed to help expand the business.
