Tonight we got to celebrate our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade academic honor students! ๐๐
Through hard work and determination, these students achieved between 1.0 - 1.5 GPA, with no Ns or Us on their report cards through the 3rd quarter of 2024. We are so proud of you!
Students were also able to hear some words of advice from former Sunset student and high school senior, Brielle. A special shout out to our 6th highest honor students who were brave enough to give speeches as well. You ladies are amazing!
Thank you to all the staff and families who made tonight extra wonderful. We canโt wait to see our 4th and 5th graders back next year!

Our neighboring school Cactus Wren will be hosting an Autism Awareness Day Family Support event and is inviting all WESD families!
Our state testing "Testa Fiesta" kicks off on Wednesday at Sunset! 3rd-6th grade students will be working hard all month during state testing to earn tickets for incentives at the end of testing. Our K-2 students will be participating in helping create a positive testing environment. Students who show exemplary effort during testing will be celebrated with a fiesta!
Please talk to your students about the importance of getting good sleep, eating breakfast, being on time, and trying their best during testing!
