The League of Very Ordinary Gentlemen is currently accepting LVOG Youth Sports Scholarship applications for Glenview children in 1st thru 8th grade to play Basketball through the Glenview Park District league play.
We are asking for your help to get the word out about this needs-based scholarship that, if approved, will cover the majority of a child’s league fees (parents pay $20). Depending on family need, the LVOG can help with providing necessary equipment as well.
Studies have shown that after-school youth sports have substantial benefits for children’s physical and mental health, as well as promotes social connections, teaches life skills and can improve academic performance. At LVOG, we hope that all Glenview kids have the opportunity to reap these rewards regardless of family income.
The application process is quick and simple.
If your family could benefit from this, or you know any families that may benefit from this scholarship please direct them to our website https://www.lvog.org/custom_pages/89101/lvog-youth-sports-sc to fill out an application.
There are applications available for download in English, Spanish and Mongolian. All information provided will be kept confidential.
The Park District Basketball leagues begin 1/11/25 and end 3/15/25. The LVOG will accept these LVOG Youth Scholarship applications until December 1st.
