Chicago Baseball Cancer Charities is a volunteer team made up of retired professional athletes, members of the Chicago sports media, and the corporate community, working together to provide ways for people to raise money for a worthy cause. Founded by Marv Samuel, Chicago Baseball Cancer Charities is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit using sports to give back by helping fund cancer research and patient care programs at Chicago-area hospitals, and supporting services to empower kids with cancer.
This week, Executive Board members Howard Kaplan and Bob Pierce presented a check to Dr. Platanias for further research his team will do to continue to fight cancer at Northwestern Medicine. Dr. P was also pleased to receive a custom CBCC pickleball set that he said he will put to good use!
