Meet Stacie!

1.) What is your favorite class at Rise & why?

My favorite classes are Buti and Primal Flow. I've practiced yoga for years but these new approaches are wonderful for my body after cycling, running and desk work and they are FUN!!

2.) What is your current favorite yoga pose?

Lizard and half moon. Both are GREAT for your hips!​

3.) What benefits have you found from practicing yoga? ​

Yoga has provided strength, elasticity and flexibility for my body (as bendy as it will get!), but importantly balance and peace. Yoga also has gifted me with another community to share life with.

4.) Describe your perfect night off:

Time with friends and family, likely with me cooking for everyone!

5.) What are you grateful for right now? ​

I am so grateful for the time with our girls as they navigate high school and look toward their next adventures. I'm also so thankful that we are all healthy!

Stacie is super active and sometimes bikes 70 miles before taking class the next day 😳 She has also brought in so many amazing faces to our community. We ♥️ you Stacie!

✨Effective Immediately- We are no longer requiring you to sign up 1 hour in advance✨

This is exciting! - We do have a small favor to ask:

•Please cancel at least one hour before the start of class to avoid a small late charge. (When using an unlimited package a $5 late fee will be incurred if you late cancel or $10 if you no show. If you are using a class pack, you will lose a class)

*Exceptions*

•All Virtual classes must be reserved an hour prior
•All 6am classes must still be reserved by 9pm the night prior
•Mommy & Me class must be reserved an hour prior

This Sunday ✨

Qigong & Sound Healing with David G

🍂This Autumn evening we will move through 60 minutes of Qigong forms. There will be a focus on nourishing and tonifying the Qi of the body.
🍂As it is Autumn we will be focusing on the Metal element and releasing that which is stored in the lungs, such as grief and sadness. This will help everyone move into a more relaxed and balanced state.
🍂We will then move into a 45 minute sound healing session. Allow the vibrations of pure frequency open, clear and balance your being, melt into the fabric of the cosmos with the gong and let the sweet pure tones of Tibetan bowls soothe your soul.

Member Spotlight Monday 💫

Meet Torin!

1.) What is your favorite class at Rise & why?

This is honestly a very tough question for me, as I love the balance of taking a wide breadth of courses. If I had to pick, it would be a tie between Vinyasa and Buti. I enjoy working up a sweat, but doing so in a way that provides space for my body, allowing it to stretch and strengthen, and go through a sequence of effort and ease. Vinyasa feels more meditative to me, whereas Buti is just fun and keeps me energized!

2.) What is your current favorite yoga pose?

For some odd reason I've found myself loving wild thing, and the whole movement of going from a downward facing dog into it. I think the combination of hip and shoulder opener along with a back twist makes me feel nice everywhere!

3.) What benefits have you found from practicing yoga?

There's a long list for me. I believe the greatest is a combination of mindfulness and movement. Yoga helps to focus, be grateful for the moment, appreciate what my body is capable of. It also keeps me feeling good, building muscle and stretching so I feel my best each day. Beyond the internal benefits of yoga, the benefit of being surrounded by such a positive and inspiring community has been amazing and a true privilege.

4.) Describe your perfect night off

My perfect night off is always changing, adapting to where I am and who I'm with. The general components are the satisfaction of a productive day, movement to make my body feel good, a nice home cooked meal full of spices and fresh vegetables, a warm conversation with a friend about random topics in life, making music, feeling at ease with where I am right now, and excited about where I'll be tomorrow.

5.) What are you grateful for right now?

The journey of life I have had the privilege to go on, where I've been, where I am, and where I will be. The people I have been, am being, and will be positively influenced by, and those I have had a positive influence on. The sensations I have the ability to feel in this very moment, and the body my mind is connected to, as well as the mind my body is connected to.

Bring your baby to yoga! 🧘🏽‍♀️ 👶🏻

Join Mary for an hour of a gentle yoga flow that includes your baby. You can follow along with Mary and her baby, you can nurse/bottle feed if that's what baby needs, or you can simply sit and be in the presence of other parents and babies.

Mary will focus on gentle poses for parents that can be done easily with baby nearby and some poses that even include baby. This is meant to nourish the parent especially because we give and give all day; give some love back to you with baby nearby.

Please make sure your doctor or midwife has cleared you for activity. This is best for parents and babies 6 weeks to one year postpartum.

Join us at 1pm on Thursdays!

Please be sure to sign up/cancel at least one hour before class starts.

Meet Melissa!

1.) What is your favorite class at Rise & why? 

Favorite class is any Buti class. Each instructor has their own unique style (and awesome playlists). I find myself grinning all throughout class as it is fun as it is challenging.

2.) What is your current favorite yoga pose? 

My current favorite pose is standing figure four pose.

3.) What benefits have you found from practicing yoga? 

In addition to improved balance, mobility, and flexibility, practicing yoga at Rise has had an immensely positive impact on my mental well-being. Yoga has helped me be more mindful and intentional in expressing gratitude in all areas of my life. And, I feel more confident.

4.) Describe your perfect night:

My perfect night is any night that involves good friends and lots of laughter. Bonus points if it follows a day of mountain biking.

5.) What are you grateful for right now? 

I am grateful for friends, health and the ability to provide for myself and live in a wonderful community with so much access to nature.

Member Spotlight Monday 💫

Meet Brice!

1.) What is your favorite class at Rise & why?

It’s impossible to choose! I take so many for different reasons! My go tos are primal flow, vinyasa, and yin. They all give me the the tools to give my body and mind what they need, from healing to blowing off steam. Truly amazing classes.

2.) What is your current favorite yoga pose?

I love a challenge so I’ve been working on inversions, so forearm stand is my current favorite.

3.) What benefits have you found from practicing yoga?

Physically, it’s the perfect counter balance to my martial arts practice. I put my body through A LOT on a weekly basis so having yoga to restore and rejuvenate is phenomenal.

Mentally, it’s helped me grow in ways that are difficult to put into words. It’s helped me create new and more positive mindsets, self awareness through stressful/triggering times, and most importantly, that you have to BE the love you want to see in the world and that all starts from within.

4.) Describe your perfect night off:

Music, a clear night sky, and genuine conversation.

5.) What are you grateful for right now?

Every blessing and every lesson life has given me.

THIS FRIDAY !

Join some of your favorite Rise instructors as we lead you through a co-taught class bringing together three signature Buti formats! This class will be 75 minutes long with 25 minutes each of Primal Flow, Buti Yoga and Deep.

Primal Flow led by - Primal Flow blends traditional vinyasa with Buti Yoga techniques and philosophy to crate the perfectly balanced practice of movement and stillness for the mind, body and soul! This format works with anatomical principles to bring dynamic, primal and intuitive movements to life.

Buti led by - Buti is a music- driven movement practice that combines dynamic yoga poses, primal movement, intentional shaking, cardio-dance bursts and deep core conditioning.

Deep led by - DEEP is a restorative movement sequence that utilizes the Spiral Structure Technique® to connect mind to muscle and catalyze vibrational change on a cellular level. Unlike other Buti® trademarked formats, DEEP is low-impact and focuses on micro-movements with physical touch to connect the brain to innervated muscle and restructure the deep core. The class structure also includes self-massage and pressure point activation to release muscles during deep restorative asanas.

Meet Victoria !

1.) What is your favorite class at Rise & why?

I have 2 favorites! Heather's Thursday night Slow Flow, Deep Stretch and Natalie's Saturday morning All Levels Vinyasa. I love Slow Flow because of Heather's breathing meditations, her intention and creativity, and the fact that she is really invested in her students. Natalie is one of my favorites because she is an incredible embodiment of yoga. Her Vinyasa Flow is the perfect combination of strength training and grounding practice.

2.) What is your current favorite yoga pose?

Currently my favorite poses are Malasana, Goddess Pose, and I'm working on perfecting my Birds of Paradise.

3.) What benefits have you found from practicing yoga?

Yoga and Rise have really changed my life. I practiced a handful of times before joining Rise in December 2021 and Yoga has been a game changer for me, especially mentally. This year has not been a personally easy year, but Yoga has kept me grounded and filled with gratitude. The breathwork I've learned from instructors Katelyn and Heather has been a lifeline. Not to mention, I feel physically stronger than I ever have before. As I become more familiar with the poses and sanskrit terms (I'm on my 75th Rise class 🙂) I only feel motivated to learn more, push myself, and study the 8 limbs.

4.) Describe your perfect night off:

A walk into Clear Creek Canyon with my husband, Jake, stopping to get in the water of course, then some ice cream or shaved ice in downtown Golden and back home to watch something light-hearted with my two cats and a cup of hot peppermint tea.

5.) What are you grateful for right now?

The fall hikes right around the corner, people to love who love me in return, cool mornings, my health, Jake, the vastness of the Rockies and the accessibility we have to them, all four seasons, and all the opportunities we have in each tiny moment

Meet Hannah ✨

Hannah began practicing yoga in 2006 as a way to abate anxiety she was experiencing. What began as an exploratory class (which in turn became a great excuse to ask her mom to buy her her first pair of Lululemon leggings) turned into a years-long journey of physical expansion, introspection, and community building.

Hannah obtained her RYT-200 certification at a small studio in Texas in 2016 and has since taught a variety of in-studio and private classes. She has experience teaching hatha, restorative, and vinyasa yoga, and aims to bring attention to the spiritual aspects of the practice into each class. Outside of the studio, Hannah also practices interior design and reads tarot.
