It's Volunteer Time again!
We Need Your Help, to make the Huge "Arts Are The Heart - Spring Expressions Festival of Art" a success.

The event will be on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Fenton Community & Cultural Center and Rackham Park (behind the building). There will be Lots of live entertainment, free face painting (sponsored by Dr. Wax), over 12 Free Creation Stations, several live demonstrations and more! Workshops have a small fee and can be purchased online, and a few booths will have something to sell.

This is a huge endeavor! We have many partnering organizations and businesses, and we need many volunteers to help staff the different areas.

Save the date for this fun Fenton Arts Council event!

We are now accepting art inspired by the poems submitted
for the Poet Mashup Exhibit. There are 29 poems to choose from!
Deadline to submit artwork is April 20th, 2024, at midnight.


We are delighted that twenty-nine poems have been created and submitted for this exhibit!
We are looking for at least 29 artworks to go with the poems. If more than one person chooses to create an art piece to go with the same poem, that's okay! But we would like at least one artwork for each poem.

On May 11, 2024 the Fenton Arts Council will hold our big, Big, BIG event of the year: the "Arts Are The Heart - Spring Expressions Arts Festival 2024". There will be a Pre-Glow the previous evening, to honor our patrons and members. You will have a chance to meet each other as you view the exhibit and enjoy the evening. The Poet Mashup will be on exhibit at the Fenton Community and Cultural Center, downtown Fenton, during the Pre-Glow" May 10 and the all-day Festival May 11.

Each poem will be exhibited with the artwork(s) that was inspired by that poem.

Artworks can be in any media: Visual art, Dance, Music, etc. Musical and dance creations are to be performed live during the Pre-Glow. Additionally, these performances are to be recorded before April 20, 2024, so a QR code to view the recordings, can be part of the exhibit.

We are looking for local writers to submit poems for an upcoming call to artists project for the “Arts Are The Heart-Spring Expressions 2024” We are hoping to accumulate several poems for this collaboration. Local artists will have the opportunity to choose from the poems that are submitted and create a work of visual art that is inspired by and accompanies the poem in the exhibit. Spring related poems would fit well with our theme but are not a requirement for submission.

The deadline for poem submission is January 8th, 2024. Please email poems to [email protected]
