Wholehearted Veterinary Care
Veterinarian to pets in Grand Rapids, MI. Located near the intersection of East Beltline and 3 Mile.
We had an unexpected surprise on our sidewalk this morning - a baby snapping turtle! 🐢 Maybe he thought he needed a check-up, but we knew this little wild guy was just lost. Our technician, Ashely, safely escorted him to the nearest water, where he happily swam back into his natural habitat.
We🖤black cats!
On , we're sharing a few important reminders on the importance of microchips - such as:
➡ 1 in 3 family pets will get lost
➡ Microchipped dogs are more than twice as likely to be returned to their owners and microchipped cats are more than 20 times as likely to be returned to their owners
And remember - while microchips greatly increase the chances that pets will be reunited with their families if they are lost or stolen…a microchip only works if its registration information is accurate.

Today is one of our amazing veterinary technician's last day at Wholehearted Veterinary Care. Jackie has been part of our team since day one, provided exceptional care to our patients, and brought warmth and kindness to our team. While we're sad to see her go, we wish her the best in her new adventures in Kalamazoo! 🐾
Meet our lovely patient, Misti Bleu the Flemish Giant! 🐇 With her gorgeous coat and those impressively large ears, she's a perfect example of why Flemish Giants are so beloved. We loved caring for her today! ❤️
Zuzu and Marley discovered that they ❤️fresh catnip during today's visit. Today was the last of their kitten vaccine series and we will miss seeing them every 3 weeks!
Our hospital will be closing early today to celebrate a very special occasion: our wonderful technician Amber's wedding! 🎉💍 We'll be back to our regular hours on Monday. Thank you for your understanding and support!
Meet our adorable patient Fern, rocking a watermelon onesie to protect her surgical incision! 🍉🐰And a huge thank you to her incredibly sweet owner for bringing us beautiful flowers 🌻Your kindness made our day!

Food trucks and live music at Riverside Park were a great way to spend a Friday evening together. Food truck Fridays very pet-friendly event, and we even got to see a few patients and clients out in the wild. Plus the weekly non-profit benefactor was one we love: Grand Rapids Pitbull Alliance!
We are closing at 1pm today (Friday 7/19) so our parking lot can be re-paved. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!
We ❤️our guinea pig patients!

Animal Behavior Wellness Center is looking for dogs to enroll in a clinical trial investigating an oral behavioral support supplement in dogs with separation anxiety Please share!
Does your dog tremble, vocalize, pant excessively, or become destructive when you leave the house? Has your dog been diagnosed with separation anxiety? If you answered “yes” to either of these questions, please contact us about enrollment in our double-blinded, placebo controlled, fully funded clinical study. This is a completely remote study, so you don’t have to worry about bringing your dog into the clinic. During the 30 day study, your dog will receive either a placebo or an oral behavioral support supplement. When you leave home (for example, to go to work) your dog will be evaluated via a 20 minute video, using a provided web cam.
Your participation is confidential, and you will be compensated for your time. At the conclusion of the study, regardless of the test group to which you’re assigned, you will also receive 3 FREE months of a nutritional behavioral support supplement.
