The Reactive Referral Center

Rookie was very brave for his first cooperative care session! Here are some things that he practiced while here:
🐾 Letting a vet tech be in the room with him and even offered his known cues for snacks
🐾 An eye exam with that weird tool the doctor has
🐾 Getting up and down from our exam area
🐾 Getting ready for someone to touch him for the exam.

👏 👏 👏 Everyone give a round of applause for W***y! W***y started cooperative care training last week and already let us vaccinate him! He didn’t even notice that we poked him! Next we will be working on a blood draw for his Heartworm test.

Sometimes your anxiety meds hit just right and you spend your visit being gently rocked like a baby and fall asleep.

We got to meet this gorgeous girl! Selkie is here for proactive puppy care. In hopes that the vet can be a fun and safe space for her as she grows.
Did you know your pet does not need to be reactive to come see us? We love working with pets to prevent veterinary anxiety!

Max was very scared of the vet. He did not allow vet care without sedation and even with sedatives they were not able to draw blood previously. Max has been working on cooperative care and was able to successfully have his blood drawn and is now fully vaccinated all while happily snacking on his whipped cream! We are so proud of Max and his family for all the hard work they put in!

We will have altered hours the week of July 29th. On July 29th, we will be open as normal from 9:00am - 5:00pm. On July 30th - August 1st we will be open from 9:00am - 1:00pm daily. We will resume our normal hours on Monday, August 5th.

Titan taste tested all our new treat options while he was here and gave his stamp of approval!

This sweet angel loves affection. Instead of distracting her with food she preferred getting belly rubs while getting her vaccines

We do whatever it takes to keep things as low stress as possible when your pet is here. This cutie really likes grass salads so Dr.Paukette did her appointment outside while she munched on grass!
