Hello! My name is Bryn Drake, I am a Michigan Native With 5 years of massage experience and counting. I’m always eager to learn and expand my massage techniques and further my education. There’s always something new and interesting to learn about healing the body!

I spent two years in Colorado studying massage therapy techniques at The Colorado School of Healing Arts and received 2000+ hours of training. I have a passion for holistic wellness and integrative healing arts. My focus is to cultivate massage specific to the individual needs of each client, bringing healing and alignment to the mind, body, and spirit.

My specialties include Ultralight Swedish Massage, Swedish massage, Deep tissue massage, Prenatal Massage, Infant Massage Training, MFR (Myofascial Release), Hot/Cold Stone massage, Cupping, Cranial-Sacral Therapy, Lymphatic Massage Techniques and Aromatherapy.

When I’m not working I enjoy outdoor activities with my family and our dog, True-Crime podcasts, coffee dates with my friends, live music, spooky movies, and playing board games. You can usually find me gardening, baking, making art, and playing Nintendo games with my kids. I also has a menagerie of house plants, that is continuously expanding.

I’ve spent the last few days taking time to process and grieve one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make.
As of this week, I am taking a leave from the massage industry indefinitely.
I love my career, and being able to help people manage their pain, stress, and discomfort to have a better quality of life. This was not lightly made, part of my decision was based upon some recent medical diagnoses, and to preserve the wellness and safety of myself and my family.

Thank you to my family at The James Salon & Spa, for your abundance of support and respect in my decision, I will miss you all terribly, and look forward to coming home. My beautiful and supportive community, clients, family, and friends, I’m forever grateful.

Well, after a 7 month hiatus from massage, that was originally caused by my collarbone surgery, then further extended by a pandemic...
