The slight breeze makes tonight a great night to come out for Food Truck Fridays. We have Creston Neighborhood Association slinging some beer and canned margaritas! Plus so many amazing food trucks it will be difficult choosing what to have for dinner.

We are back again for Week 5 of Food Truck Fridays at North Riverside Park 5p-9p! Below we have a parking map to help you in your planning if you are looking to join us this Friday.

The parking lot next the event space will fill up fast and once it is full we will be guiding people along and not letting them into the lot until space opens.
Parking on any grass in or around Riverside park is strictly prohibited.
We know parking is a pain, it is something we have to endure if we want to continue to have this event at the amazing Riverside Park and not an open parking lot or stadium.
We will have a small bike parking area near the building by the south entrance to the event space.

We have a great week lined up for you at Riverside Park for week 5 of Food Truck Fridays 5p-9p.
We have the Creston Neighborhood Association with us for the beer tent this week. Looks like the weather will cooperate for us this time. While we don't have a stage again this week we will have 105.3 HOTFM out again playing some music in our shaded area around the middle of the event.

Tonight for Food Truck Fridays these strong winds and large gusts we have had to made the unfortunate decision to cancel tonight’s beer tent. We are not able to keep the fencing in place etc.
HOWEVER the food trucks will still be in attendance there will just be no beer tent tonight. We hope to see you here!

5p-9p Riverside Park.

As we roll into week 4 we know it is a busy weekend all around. So why not head over to Riverside Park to relax and chill in the park with some good food and friends. Join us 5p-9p for Food Truck Fridays at the northern end of Riverside Park. Unfortunately this week we will not be having live music but will have Thunder 107.3 out and playing for you to enjoy.
We will also have our bike parking area near our south entrance, and be keeping our same entrance locations as last week. Since they seemed to work best so far.

Tonight we have been able to get some barricades so that we can create a bike parking area behind the stage near the south entrance.
Starting tonight, we shld be able to do this most weeks there might be some in which the barricades are unavailable for us.

We’ve been working to create some fun new stuff available this week! Not only do we have some Food Truck Fridays blankets we have some tote bags as well!
All proceeds help in keeping this a free event for the community.

Week 3 at Riverside Park for Food Truck Fridays kicks off this week! If you haven't had a chance to come check things out you don't want to wait too long! So get down to Riverside and see what all the fun is about as we have around 20 food trucks and local merchant vendors, plus live music from Out of Favor Boys, and our beer tent host Killer Blues Headstone Project.
We will shift our entrances again this week to help with better flow.

The last 4 weeks have been crazy chaotic for our little family as we have been working to get everything ready and adjusting to our new location. Good news is we are finally catching up and will be introducing some of the things we have been planning for this year.
That includes some new Food Truck Fridays Merch!
First up is some roll up fleece blankets. Perfect for carrying to and from Food Truck Fridays each week! $20 ea we will have a small selection of colors, plus new & former logo. If the interest is there we will make some more.
You can find them at the GR8 Food Trucks tent next to the beer tent.

Last night was amazing, thank you everyone. Matthew Taylor Media joined us and got some great drone shots of the event. More pictures and a video is coming soon!
That nice thick tree canopy is a great shade addition to the event this year!

We are still a go this week, 🤞 the weather holds out until the end! Right now it’s beautiful out!
So head down to Riverside park. We shifted things around a bit with our layout and opening so look for our parking lot opening behind the dumpsters on the park path.
We also added 5 additional accessible parking spaces in addition to what the park offers!

We’ve been told to keep our posts lighthearted but this isn’t one of those…

We know everyone wants to see the cute and cuddly kittens. Hopefully the pictures below might help a bit with that.

As a non profit we do our best to keep it positive while also being honest. But if we are being honest, our $$$ situation isn’t looking great.

We currently have 150 cats and kittens in our care. To vet these kitties (neuter, vaccines, microchip, and combo test) we are looking at a little over $7,000. This doesn’t include deworming, food, and litter for all 150. Or medications that the majority of our cats have needed or will need in the future. Not to mention multiple expensive vet appointments that quite a few of the cats in our care need. It all adds up.

We try to save as many cats/kittens as we have fosters for. We don’t have a single foster without cats right now. We are full and many of our fosters have multiple groups or large litters. Kittens are expensive. Illness and medical issues pop up daily despite our best efforts to keep them healthy. Their immune systems are weak and they’re so fragile. Adult cats that have never had medical or preventative care bring their own set of issues into the mix.

We take a lot of medical cases that other organizations are either unable or unwilling to take. We don’t ever want cost to be a barrier for their survival. The requests for help are endless. We help the community at no cost to them. If they’re able to donate, great. If not, we will never make that a barrier for our assistance.

We try not to ask for money too often. We know many people don’t have much to give right now. But if all of our supporters can spare $1 that can make a huge difference in our financial situation and allow us to continue to do what we do best. Saving lives.

We have a great line up of Food Trucks, Merchant Village, Beer Tent plus live music from Denise Davis and the Motor City Sensations We are excited to have them out!
This week we will be shifting around out interior event layout as we continue to make adjustments to our new space. While we do have parking lots close by they do fill up fast and once full, we will be closing off the lot to keep people from parking on the grass (illegally), we will open it up as parking becomes available. So be sure to plan your night accordingly.

Food Truck Fridays returning to Riverside Park this Friday This year at Food Truck Fridays, the beer tent has gotten an upgrade with some new canned cocktail offerings and each week will feature live music.

2 DAYS AWAY!! Food Truck Fridays at Riverside Park officially begins!
This year remember we are a little further north this year where the old little league fields use to be. 5p-9p This Friday. This amazing community event is back, enjoy 20 food trucks, local merchant vendors, nonprofit supported beer tent and live music!

Remember there is no parking on any grass at or around Riverside Park. We have included some helpful maps below.
Also Sunshine Community Church has graciously allowed their parking lot to be used for event parking.

This year we have improved the beer tent menu's offerings. We have a couple of different Margaritas, spiked Ice Teas, and a Voda Pineapple. Plus redbull will be available as well. So be sure to stop by and help support our local nonprofit this week. Creston Neighborhood Association.
