Live edge white oak bench

We are doing a limited run of these with a stock of spalted live edge white oak slabs that had been aging outside and are fresh from the kiln. Full of character. These would be great around a table or for an entryway.

We snuck this monster hard maple conference table into downtown Ann Arbor yesterday before the big game today. Looking forward to getting pictures when the space is done and in use as part of a larger co-working office.

Unfortunately current white oak demand is outpacing future supply. Disease, climate change, and an aging stock that hasn't been replaced is also threatening our mighty oaks.

Fortunately a tract of family property that was logged before it was purchased still has some white oaks that produce lots of seedlings. Working to transplant them around the property in areas that never recovered from the logging.

Hopefully we get to sit under their shade...

I have a feeling we'll be making a lot more of these soon...a custom request for a single sided drop leaf table. The split table legs hinge out to support the extended leaf.
