Last week we said goodbye to Elliot and wish them all the best their move to Japan.
This week we welcome Rob Stillson to the GR Massage Life team. He will be working on Tuesdays.

From Rob:
My practice as a licensed massage therapist started at Blue Heron Academy. However, my journey into healing arts began over 15 years ago with yoga and meditation. These two practices have influenced my style of massage, which is centered around mindfulness. My approach to massage also draws inspiration from Therapeutic Thai techniques, infused with the rhythm I've cultivated through the study of music and dance. Every massage session with me is like a flowing dance, where I facilitate the healing journey with you.

Specialties: Therapeutic massage, Hot stones, Deep tissue massage, Stretching and mobility, Swedish relaxation

Aside from massage, I enjoy traveling, live music, and camping. I’ve been to Guatemala, Belize, and Thailand, with plans to experience more cultures in the years to come. As I travel through life, I learn and evolve my skills, which deepens my practice.

"Hello Everyone, this July marks my five-year anniversary of working with GR Massage Life! Unfortunately, however, my journey with massage ends here. As some of you may know, I returned to school a few years back and FINALLY received my degree this past December. My post-graduation plans were always to move and work abroad, and I am excited to say that in just two months I will be moving to Toyama, Japan!!!

I am sad to close this chapter of my life but incredibly excited to start a new one! That being said, my last day at GR Massage Life will be July 18th. If you would like to see me before I go, I have most of my usual availability and am willing to squeeze you in if need be. Thank you to all of the wonderful people I have had the pleasure to work with in the last five years; you have all made my time here enjoyable and fulfilling." - Elliot M

What’s up with Sara?
I was supposed to be back at work this Friday the 1st. Everything was going great! I had physical therapy Monday and after a stretch I felt pain. I woke up Tuesday morning with a swollen hand and pain in the shoulder. So that’s not great. I meet with the surgeon next week, really hoping to hear good news and it’s all fine just a little swelling along the nerve. Fingers crossed. Unfortunately, I am going to have to reschedule clients next week, but will be back ASAP. I miss my work!
In the meantime, trying to enjoy the weather and see the sun in the horizon.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
I am doing well after shoulder surgery. I was so excited for Santa, I fell down the stairs Christmas morning. So a little more banged up than planned but doing fine. Still smiling, life is good! I hope to be back as planned March 1st as long as I can stay upright!

What’s going on with Sara’s schedule?
Well, unfortunately I have been dealing with a shoulder injury for the last 6mths. It has not affected my ability to do massage but has affected my daily life. I have taken time off, done the physical therapy but unfortunately I will need to have surgery.
I will be off Dec 20th- at the earliest March 1st.
In my absence, I hope you check out all of our other amazing massage therapist. I hope to get back to doing massage ASAP.
I do have some openings in Nov and Dec and working is great physical therapy on my shoulder!

Hello everyone,
This is Elliot with a brief update on my summer availability. This summer I will be participating in a study abroad in Japan for 10 weeks. My apologies for a somewhat late notice, but I will be leaving the 26th of this month and returning to work Tuesday August 15th! If you need any help getting in before I leave, don't hesitate to reach out.
