Our first all-site night of worship this year is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16th at 7PM. As an all-site body, we will join in with the worship nights already taking place at the South Hill campus! The core value that we are highlighting this whole year is “Authentic Community,” for we have been carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord… being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit (Ephesians 2:21-22). You are welcome to come and go as needed.
We are looking forward to worshiping together!

South Hill Newsletter 03.27.24 - https://mailchi.mp/5253300decdd/south-hill-family-news-7-12-16527408 Join us for Resurrection Sunday, Good Friday, Grace & Truth Study, Profession of Faith and More...
Our dramatists have been working hard to prepare for our all-site Good Friday gatherings as they will be anchoring our service with a dramatic portrayal of “Ragman” written by Walter Wangerin, Jr.
When the actors and directors gathered on the first day of rehearsals, Pastor Andrea read a piece to them called “Gospel Medicine” by Barbara Brown Taylor. She writes, “I like to think that the apostle Luke, a doctor, never resigned his job as a healer. He just changed medicines. Instead of prescribing herbs, hot compresses, and bed rest, he told stories with the power to mend broken lives and revive faint hearts.”
And we pray that is exactly what the Holy Spirit uses this story to do on Good Friday… because each character and their interaction with the Ragman reminds us that Jesus did not only heal our wounds, he willingly took them on himself. We hope you’ll invite someone to come with you to experience this powerful gospel medicine! Story is often the backdoor to truth for those who have shut the front door because of hurt, doubt, and disbelief. We hope you’ll consider inviting someone to come along and encounter Christ and His healing power!
Note: We will be seated on the floor in the sanctuary (with chairs available for those who need them).

Take a look at what is coming up for Holy Week and beyond! There are numerous opportunities for worship & connection, from the upcoming Good Friday services, to South Hill's Church Anniversary, to our next Gathering Sunday, and so much more!
Rehearsals have been in full swing for members of the cast in “Ragman,” a powerful drama written by Walter Wangerin Jr. This will anchor our All-Site Good Friday service which will be held at the Square Campus on Friday, March 29th. Join us as we fix our eyes on the work of Christ through song, scripture, silence, drama, and taking communion. Too often, we rush toward the empty tomb of Easter, but on Good Friday we join believers all over the world in slowing down to consider the cross. We hope you will invite someone to come along with you to experience the healing power of Jesus in a new way. “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5).
We will host two services at 6:30pm and 8:00pm at the Square Campus, 1441 Madison Ave SE. Nursery for children up to three years old available at the 6:30 service.

Nothing brings us together like family and food. Our Listen and Learn opportunities this month have been robust! With 1 final gathering tomorrow, we hope you will join us for this time of LISTENING, LEARNING, and FELLOWSHIP over FOOD (light hors d'oeuvres and desserts with a story). We will continue our conversations from previous weeks and engage in the concepts we explored this month. If you've been unable to attend this month, you are still welcome to come, as this final opportunity will provide a helpful recap.
SOUTH HILL CAMPUS, Wednesday, February 28, 6:45 pm
In 2015 Madison received the donation of this abandoned 76,000 square foot building, and committed across all sites to developing it through the 415 Franklin project. We entered into a two year process of community listening and stakeholder engagement around the question “how can we best use this building as an asset in this community”, and came to three consistent answers to that question: affordable housing, early childhood services, and high quality spaces that are available to the community.
We’d like to give you an idea of what life in these spaces looks like across Madison, and also share some exciting vision with you for what this model of partnership and community could look like in the next season.
