Mending Trail Stables has Sold!

Mending Trail Stables, located in Grandville, is looking for regular barn help 3-5 days a week.

We are looking for someone to help daily with stall work. There would not be regular direct horse contact as stable owners would continue to feed and turn out and in regularly.

The position would involve mucking stalls, laying down shavings, filling water buckets, and sweeping aisles. More work could be made available if requested and if experience allows.

$10-15/hour

Sweet girl is tuckered out still after her vet appointment.

We both have backgrounds in neurology, so are excited to *try* and find space for this book.

Went to turn in last night and found an unfinished project the girls had started for fun.

I found some of the kids out by the fences with make shift tables and art supplies drawing the horses. Here’s one of their pieces. 🖌🎨

Its always good to have someone to snuggle with. 💕

Look at this cutie that’s getting added to the stable today! Broke to ride and drive, he will help us welcome all sorts of visitors to the barn with his sweet and tiny self! 🥰🐴

*MAYBE* there’s hope still for Finn to become a farm dog. He loves rides in the gator. 🦮

Everyday this cracks me up. Like someone might forget it’s a horse in front of them. 😂🤣🐴

Look at the painting we commissioned to have done for the viewing room in the barn! It was done by JennMarie Studios, one of our wonderful clients who trusts us with her own and her clients’ horses. 💕

Awe! 🥰 Vega missed Ben. She kept up with the kisses when he was fixing the fence by her. 😘

I don’t know if it’s genius or weird, but I just used baling twine to wrap up kid clothing sets for their weekend sleepovers.

We are looking for someone (or someoneS - position could be split) to help daily with stall work. There would not be regular direct horse contact as stable owners would continue to feed and turn out and in regularly.

Duke was a good and helpful boy tonight. He let loads of kids pet and love on him and went in a lot of boring, slow circles.

Using some of our snow day time to get extra love from the horses. Hawke was giving Ben lots of kisses. And I realized during a Zoom meeting I had horse kiss slobber all over my cheek from Oakley. 🐴😘❄️

An important piece of Mending Trail Stables is that we recognize horses can play an active role in healing. And let's face it, the past couple of years have been rougher than normal, especially for specific areas of our community. As a way of acknowledging this, beginning with February board through at least 2022, individuals who meet one of the below qualifications will receive 10% off standard board fees for each horse boarded with us, both as a thank you and as a way to show our support.
