🤝My art teacher used to tell us that the better quality brushes and hues will over ride lack of experience.

Some students got the good tools and some students did not.

💯She was correct. Everyone in the class was a novice with no experience in painting. The difference in quality between professional/not was astonishingly visable.

🤩I am grateful I learned early in life that in certain areas professional quality matters more. Education, washing machines, watering hoses, food and brushes; Hair brushes, makeup brushes, paint brushes, rakes and brooms🤣😂

I didn’t get many photos because it was a hands on experience type of class. I enjoyed myself so much learning about our locals watershed.

The quality of the water is determined by the flora and fauna. We took samples of the silt and soil in the stream to get a closer look at what is living in there.

Turns out Cobus Creek is a healthy living system and the management by the Elkhart County Parks that has improved our water ways in Elkhart county.

It was a hot muggy day yesterday and the cool running water brought much needed relief.

I am becoming myself, finally, after all these years…

In February 2025 I graduate from the Indiana Master Naturalist program

I am moving around much better and getting back to a regular routine. My take away from the last 2.5 months is this.

I didn’t know what I didn’t know until knew I didn’t know it. What does this mean?

For me it is the realization that I do not have all the answers. Sometimes the method or process that served us well for so long is no longer effective. When we grow often we find that we need to upgrade tools and mindset to reflect continued growth and learning.

I’ve spent the better part of a month re learning to walk. My step, cadence and gait are not the same as before the bunionectemy.

I have to say I am loving myself and celebrating walking a new walk…

And getting back into the swing of things both at the farmstand and skin cycle coaching.

👉I have 1 opening on June 24 at 6 pm. I do have a 30 minute flex window in case 6pm doesn’t work for your schedule. I would be tickled pink to assist you with your skincare and suncare needs & wants. **this photo makes me happy. I’ve been an outdoor girl for 5 decades and experienced substantial photo damage. 5 years ago my dermatologist told me my skin would not ever appear better than it did that day.

I saw her again on Monday and she did reluctantly acknowledge that my skin appears much better than 5 years ago and “to keep doing what I’m doing.”

I like plants & vegetables and have been sharing this passion with others for 16 seasons, this isn’t changing.

We live in zone 5 and our growing season is short compared to Cali and Florida. In the off season and in pockets of availability during the growing season I can add to my income w/o punching a clock.

This opportunity fits nicely into my agrarian lifestyle. It further solidifies my ability to live my life according to my ideals.

I left my corporate job in 2006 because I was capped (I had advanced as far as I could) by my employer which led to complete burnout. I could only go so far and frankly I dislike living under the thumb of someone who only has their best interest in mind. This was my experience and probably not reflective of the main stream, IDK?
