Got reminded this week that I am not doing a very good job of posting updates to the house. Hard to believe I have been here a year now! When I bought the house, it had brick walkways and back patio. The house was built in 1952 so the walkways and patio were crumbling. After much deliberation, I decide to replace it all with rock and am so glad I did. I had them add a small patio on the front of the house as well. I really love it but am now officially BROKE!!! I only got a few before pictures, but you can see the difference.

One thing I love about God is, He'll bring you out of situations that you got yourself into and won't hold it against you.

If you have followed me for a while, you know that I have an infatuation with old architecture and particularly churches. I love thinking about the songs that were sang in that church and the potluck lunches that were served after. I have always said that if I ran for President, my platform would be that ALL churches have to have steeples, all barns have to be red, and clowns would be outlawed! Vote for me!

Several years ago, I posted pictures of old abandoned churches each week with some type of inspirational quote that touched me. I have recently had some folks ask if I was ever going to do this again and it made me think. Maybe it is time. I got a lot out of finding the pictures and quotes, so starting next week I will begin these posts again. Just a note: The pictures are not mine; I did not take them. I find them on the internet.

Had a great first day at Vintage Market Days of Denton/Decatur. Packed up the car tonight to try and fill in all the holes. Come see me Saturday or Sunday (10-5).
