💞 Influence in your marriage starts with your actions! 💞
This weekend at Fellowship of the Parks, we continued our Influencer series with a focus on being a light in our closest relationship—our marriage.
💡 BIG IDEA: We influence our spouse by showing love, not just saying it. "You are the light of the world." (Matthew 5:14)
Here’s how we can shine in our marriages:
🔸 Love SACRIFICIALLY: Just as Christ loved the church, love your spouse with selfless devotion. (Ephesians 5:25-29)
🔸 FORGIVE when it’s hard: Choose forgiveness and let go of grudges.
🔸 LISTEN and RESPECT: Truly hear and honor each other’s words.
🔸 SERVE with JOY: Make service a part of your daily love language.

🔥 Light Your Friendships on Fire! 🔥
This weekend at Fellowship of the Parks, we explored the call to be a powerful influence in our friends' lives, shining brightly and guiding them closer to Christ.
💡BIG IDEA: You’re called to shine brightly and make a meaningful impact. "You are the light of the world." (Matthew 5:14)
In this sermon we learned to:
🔸 Be the EXAMPLE: Our actions speak louder than words. Live out your faith so others can see the goodness of God in your life. (Matthew 5:14-16, 1 John 2:4)
🔸 Speak the TRUTH in love: Whether it's sharing the gospel with a friend or gently correcting a brother, always consider the person and the context. (John 14:6, Galatians 6:1)
🔸 Genuinely SUPPORT and ENCOURAGE: A true friend sticks closer than a brother. Be that source of encouragement and support in your friends' lives. (Proverbs 18:24)
👉 NEXT STEP: This week, let your light shine brightly by leading your friends closer to Christ through your example, truthful words, and genuine support.

This past weekend we began a new series titled Influencer. This first message - Influencer in My World - reminded us that we're all called to make a positive impact in the world around us. We studied Matthew 5:14-16 that reminds us to let our light shine, and James 2:14-17 that challenges us to put our faith into action.

Meet Jennifer Nickerson, one of our incredible worship pastors at Fellowship of the Parks.
Jennifer’s journey through 2020 was a tough one — The isolation she faced during this time led to the loss of three core pillars of her identity: her deep involvement with church, her career in media, and the comfort of companionship. But in the midst of this struggle, Jennifer learned a powerful truth: God is trustworthy, even when life feels uncertain.
Instead of sinking deep into anxiety or depression, she chose to lay her worries at the feet of Jesus, over and over again. She stopped fighting God’s plan and started trusting Him completely. Jennifer now knows that while people and circumstances may let you down, God never will.
Watch her story and be reminded that even in the hardest times, God can make it beautiful in the end. 💛

Matthew 5:14-16 reminds us that we are the light of the world, like a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. Just as a lamp is placed on a stand to brighten the whole house, we are called to let our light shine before others.
Your actions, your kindness, and your love are powerful. Let your light shine brightly, so others may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

🌳 The Tree That Shapes Us: Sermon Recap 🌳
This past weekend, our campus pastors delivered an inspiring message on Zacchaeus and the Sycamore Tree from Luke 19:1-10. The message reminded us:
◾Actively SEEK Jesus—when you seek with all your heart, you’ll find what you're looking for, just like Zacchaeus who climbed the sycamore tree to catch a glimpse of Jesus.
◾Jesus SEES you—He knows where you are and what you need. (v.5)
◾Let Jesus TRANSFORM your life—He can change your story completely. (v.8-9)
As 2 Corinthians 5:17-19 reminds us, in Christ, we become new creations—leaving the old behind and stepping into the new.
Next Step: Don’t let the crowd prevent you from seeing Jesus. Commit to a life-changing relationship with Jesus.
