We are looking forward to Dr. Erica Shelly from Best for Bees presenting about her ProtectaBEE innovations and Big Bee Data on a special Zoom presentation September 11th.
We are buzzing with excitement about this one!
We just published a paper in Frontiers in Bee Science about our innovative ProtectaBEE® technology! This breakthrough allows us to deliver treatments directly into beehives without disturbing the bees. This means beekeepers can now care for their hives in any weather, saving time and enhancing hive health.
We’re working with special fungi to combat varroa mites and awaiting approval for new mite treatments that could transform beekeeping. Stay tuned for our next paper, which will explore using our technology for other hive diseases.
A huge thanks to my co-authors Tasmin Brown, Peter Kevan, and Aparna Karthikeyan, and everyone who contributed to this research, including Nicole Gauvreau, Amy Savigny, Melanie Nobre, Victor Nobre, Lise VdB, Michelle Lantink, Andrew Abouchar, and many supportive beekeepers. Your efforts are invaluable!
Together, we’re advancing beekeeping and contributing to global food security. Thank you to everyone who has supported us—It truly takes a hive! 🐝
Interested in collaborating? Reach out! Let’s keep innovating together.
