It's time for scouts! We will have our first meeting of this school year tomorrow, Tuesday, August 22, at 7 pm at the train station. The scouts will be asked to share their scouting adventures from the summer, and then will work on planning activities for the coming year. There will be a committee meeting in the back room, and all parents are invited to attend. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night!
Our first regular meeting will be Tuesday, August 22. See you then!
Here is some more information about the new Female Scouting Statue here at SBR (Summit Bechtel Reserve).
Troop 199 has three scouts at the National Jamboree. These girls have been with our troop since it’s inception (or within 2 months) two were the first girls to camp at Sinoquipe, one was with the first group of females scouts at NOAC, and ALL three are part of the first girls here at the National Jamboree. We are making history!! I am thrilled to be a part of it and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for these trailblazers!
Not sure what photos everyone has seen, but here's our week at Sinoquipe!
Two quick reminders:
Please bring all your health forms tomorrow, especially part C.
Have your scout bring something to help with homesickness if you think they'll need it.
