Bezaleel School

Bezaleel is a school dedicated to forming leaders Q'eqchi' indigenous youth in AV, Guatemala.

Bezaleel is located in San Juan Chamelco in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. The school is supported through Fundameno, a non-profit organization. 100% of all tax-deductible donations go to support the work at Bezaleel.

Translating of video below: Good afternoon. My name is Carla Perez from the 11th grade accounting track. I am grateful with all my heart to the people who donated this long-term project because it has great potential that is important for the provision for all the students who will come in future generations. The students and church leaders planted 367 avocado trees at the Bezaleel School. The money for the trees was donated by Mennonite Men, MCUSA.

Inauguration of the musical instruments and sound system for Bezaleel. The school just replaced those destroyed in the flood. They celebrate with singing, prayer, and words of gratitude.

This year the school had a bumper crop of cauliflower. Alejandro, a graduate, is now teaching at the school as well as instructing students in gardening. Some of the vegetables are consumed by the students and others are sold for income for the school.

Bezaleel School auditorium has been repainted.
Marimba was bought to replace the one damaged in the flood. We are grateful for donations that made this purchase possible. They will also be replacing other instruments that were destroyed.
