Meat bird weigh in at 4 weeks. This breed goes to 12 weeks but they are getting porky. Very little grain but 100% whole fruits and veggies, and tons of compost 🐛

First hen of the season on low and slow. She was one very healthy lady, so thankful for her time here on the farm❤️

Fresh, delicious and abundance, we are blessed🙏

It’s a freezing 22 degrees at the farm today! 🥶 I had to give the chickens scratch, which we don’t normally feed them, but they are cold and Mamma needed to warm them up!

Our “baby” layers are producing! We found this one in the goat shed😂 geez! They have beautiful and private egg laying quarters but they are still a little confused and that’s egg’ok with this Mamma.
It’s a tough 18 weeks raising them into adulthood but we often love every minute. The predators from the sky and ground are for real but we couldn’t lock them up. They love their freedom on this farm and we are very grateful for the abundance. Shortly we will have 15 eggs per day. God bless❤️

It’s 25 degrees here in East TN this beautiful morning🥶🥶🥶
When it’s chilly like this I like to make oatmeal with flaxseed, garlic and applesauce to warm the farm friends up. The goats, one sheep and 15 layers enjoy the carbs, and Mamma slips in the natural dewormer (garlic) and flaxseeds for super power eggs.❤️
