As a while male and a white female posting this… what we can do is educate ourselves on Juneteenth. Educate others on Juneteenth. Support black owned businesses. Support black activists. Support black educators. Support black men. Support black women. Support black people in the lgbtq+ community. And continue to support all black people.

As a close friend of mine said… we’re not the same as you. And that struck something in me. To really see the struggles black people have had to go through in our world, our country, and our home. And STILL have to go through. It’s terrible. We need to do better. We need to listen. To understand. And educate. It’s the LEAST we can do.

So today, I want each and every one of you to read about Juneteenth. Listen to your black friends. Try to understand what they go through on a daily basis. Although we will never truly understand… we can support them 🖤

We have our staff meeting this morning (Summer specials loading) and then we will be having our staff appreciation party this afternoon/tonight! A morning full of learning and an evening full of fun! They deserve it 🥹 See y’all tomorrow 🤍

This building and the history that’s in it brings me so much joy daily! The people that have come in and out of here for years, the laughs, the tears, everything. It is so special. We are so glad we can continue to bring joy in this building making you all your favorite cocktails and food daily!

It’s Emma’s anniversary!!! Emma started working here in June of 2020. What a wild time, right?! And she’s been here ever since! Emma stayed on through the transition period when we took over in 2022 and we are so glad she did! Emma is our prep queen!! She also runs the line at lunch too! Cool fact about Emma- she’d never worked on a line until she worked at Freeman’s… She pushes herself every single day to be better and do better in the kitchen and the will and drive she has to continually learn is absolutely amazing. The amount of stress that comes with this job is daunting sometimes and Emma handles it like a beast! She is a true gem of Freeman’s and we are so very fortunate to have her as part of the team! Come on by for lunch this weekend and give her a big ole high five! She deserves it 🥹 We love you Emma!!
