Words fall short describing Sarah and Chris’ wedding! What a compliment and honor it was to document their wedding in MA this past weekend. Every part of it was memorable…Chris and Bumpa’s reaction to seeing Sarah, the getting ready emotions, private vows by the lighthouse, the speeches and full dance floor all night. I’ve known Johnna forever. She’s basically apart of our family so when I heard the news I was ecstatic! In a few short months Johnna + Carson will tie the knot on her family farm. I’m so excited and blessed that i get to be apart of it! The countdown for April is on!

I was insanely productive today after being down and out most of this week! I had my second wedding of 2024 last Saturday and will be sharing some of that goodness soon but before I signed off for the weekend I wanted to share my favorites from Sarah + Austin's engagement session! March will be here before we know it!

They didn't let the rain get them down and I caught myself crying at least five times throughout the day because of all the sweet moments they shared with each other and their families and friends.

I've told Amber a million times, I couldn't have asked for a better couple to start my year.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year celebrating with family and friends! I have had so many inquiries from newly engaged couples and it has meant the world to me! 2024 is gonna been a wonderful year and I can’t wait to celebrate with you all!

I’ve spoken with so many couples recently who want to prioritize their time together on their wedding day. I can honestly say a first look AND private vows are the BEST way to do that! Those private moments will give you images that are raw, real and unfiltered and those are the best kind of images.

Two Braves games in Atlanta and multiple beach days on the boat fishing and relaxing on Sand Dollar Island…I’ll officially be back in my office tomorrow morning! Having uninterrupted time off with my family has left me refreshed and ready to tackle some new projects I’ve been thinking about!

I shipped four welcome packages off this morning for four 2024 brides! I told myself at least ten times before going to the UPS store to post a cute instagram story 🤣 Clearly I forgot! Hands down, social media is the most difficult part of running a small business for me. I enjoy the shooting and more personable aspect of my business where I get to spend time with my couples and families.

So in my recommitment to be better at social media I’m sharing some favorites from Lucy + Tims engagement session in Chapel Hill! I can’t wait to party with these two next year at in Charlotte! Lucy sent me her inspiration for her wedding colors and let me just say, I got so excited because she was not shying away from color!

It’s wedding (and baseball!) season so life is a whirlwind! I’m heading out to shoot a triple header with a friend this weekend and I’ll be shooting every weekend until I leave for Paris in early June and then I’ll be back at it for a few more weekends 🤣 Life is slightly crazy but I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Every other wedding vendor I spoke to said they were rained out and went with plan B but not us! The rain held out for the entire day and Whitney and Gavin did everything as planned. There were so many sweet personal touches on their day..their ceremony, songs, speeches..all of it was perfect!

A hacked instagram account, fraudulent charges on my business bank account, Covid….life has been a little crazy lately but I’m still kicking over here. (Please learn from my experience and turn two-factor authentication on!)

I’m headed to Charlotte this weekend to shoot an uptown engagement session so I thought this gorgeous throwback was appropriate because I love a city backdrop!

A wedding tip for all my brides out there! If pictures are top priority for your wedding day, then your venue should be too! Your venue will have a large impact on how your pictures turn out. If you love bright and airy images, choose a venue that has natural light in your getting ready room (the more the better!) and is lighter in color!
