NEED HELP CREATING YOUR WEDDING TIMELINE?👇🏼
Honestly, one of my absolute favorite things about planning is helping my couples create their timelines. Here are some practical tips to help you create your timeline:
1. The time of year you get married matters. In the fall and winter you want to aim for earlier. In the spring and summer starting later!
2. Try to get all of your dances done right after you are announced into the reception.
3. Keep speeches short and sweet OR do them at the rehearsal dinner.
4. Eat a private dinner with you and your fiancé so you can spend the dinner time talking with all of your guests.
5. Do a first look! (Obviously if YOU want!) It can be beneficial to ensure you fit in ALLLL the pictures y’all could want!

A destination wedding isn’t just getting married in Italy, it could be getting married in Florida when you live in Pittsburgh, PA (shout out to all my PA friends🥹)
There are added stressors - travel, packing, organization, logistics, lodging, and everything in between. I was a bride getting married out of state and I did NOT have a planner and man do I regret it!
Here are your first steps to having a destination wedding:
1. Determine your budget (don’t forget to plan for travel, rental cars, lodging, meals, etc.)
2. Hire a planner to help you manage that budget and to create the wedding of your dreams!

BRIDES: It’s not your photographers job to manage your timeline! WHAT? Yes, you read that right… It’s not their job to make sure your vendors are time, it’s not their job to make sure everything is set up and ready to go. Their job is to show up and make sure they get the pictures you want! Well who’s job is it?? You guessed it… The wedding coordinator/planner! Having (at least) a coordinator is so important. Let your family, friends, and guests enjoy the day and leave it up to the professionals to stress so you don’t have to.
Do your photographer and YOURSELF a favor and hire a wedding coordinator, you wont regret it! Did you hire a planner/coordinator??? Are you happy you did??👇🏼

What’s the difference between a wedding coordinator and a venue coordinator? 👇🏼
1. A wedding planner/coordinator that you hire for yourself is working for YOU.
2. Venue coordinators make sure everything runs smoothly from a venue prospective. (Event layout, clean up, venue staffing, etc.)
3. It’s not their job to make sure your vendors are on time, your tables are set, or your photographer is on schedule.
4. It’s not their job to create your timeline or run your ceremony!
If you aren’t hiring a wedding planner/coordinator because your venue comes with one, I would reach out and get clarification on what their scope of work is.
A wedding planner/coordinator you hire is there for you and whatever you need. They are your biggest cheerleader, hype man/woman, and your best advocate for everything on your wedding day. 🤍

Engaged couples always ask “what do I do first?” Well.. it’s your budget!! Here are 3 budgeting tips to help you get started:
1. Determine your overall budget! This is SO important. This helps you manage expectations.
2. Break your budget down into sections - i.e. Venue, Florals, Photo+ Video, Planner, etc. this helps you determine which vendors are within reach. There’s nothing worse than falling in love with a vendor that’s WAY out of your budget.
3. Create a budget spreadsheet. Tracking your budget helps keep you within your means. This allows you to have everything you want without going overboard!

When I first started this business I felt lost, overwhelmed, and tired. I was tired of not knowing my passion, tired of feeling unfulfilled, all of it.
Last November I made a decision that was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I took a chance on myself, pushed myself and I have grown in ways I couldn’t even imagine. I can finally say: THIS IS MY PASSION.
To my past, present, future couples: you are the backbone of who I am. You took a chance on this first year wedding planner and made me into the best version of myself and for that, I am FOREVER grateful. I love each and everyone of you so much.

•Pick your vendors wisely! Not every vendor is the right fit for you! These people will be working the biggest day of your life. Be sure they see the value in that. Cheaper is not always better! Read reviews, get recommendations from people you trust, and ALWAYS have an in-person meeting or phone call with them to be sure they’re a good fit!
The right vendors will support your dream, cheer you on, and feel more like friends than vendors 🤍
