Happy Friday Church!
Many people had and still have widely varying opinions about Jesus’ identity. The real issue, however, is what YOU believe about Jesus and who Jesus reveals himself to be. What you decide about the identity of Jesus as God’s Son, the Lord and Christ, the Messiah of Israel, means everything for you (Romans 10:9-13) and those you seek to influence.
It’s thankful Thursday Church!
Grace frees us from the law of sin and death. However, our freedom is not to be used selfishly — not for rebellion or self-gratification. Instead, we must use our liberty redemptively, just as Jesus did (Philippians 2:5-11).
The midweek meditation.
Remember that we are at war with the evil one (Ephesians 6:10-12) and do not even allow him the tiniest footholds. Then, let’s praise God because our Savior has already defeated our enemy, and the Holy Spirit empowers us to stand up to Satan’s attacks and resist his temptations.
It’s a terrific Tuesday Church!
Where would Israel have been without Moses or Joshua or Hezekiah or David...? So if the Lord is calling you to lead, don’t accept his invitation lightly, but please, accept it! If you are not a leader, please remember to pray for your leaders and their families as they seek to honor God through their leadership (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13; Hebrews 13:7-8, 17).
It’s motivation Monday Church!
Each of us is God’s creation from the womb, so we are precious to him (Psalm 138:13-16). So, we commit to living morally and responsibly to God as we seek to honor him and his covenant represented by the rainbow (Genesis 9:4-7) and refuse to dishonor this covenant with wickedness (Genesis 9:22-24). God made the rainbow as a reminder that he loves us and calls us to honor him with our character and care for his creation.
It’s Sunday and time for worship Church!
Paul was a master at reading the needs around him and living in a way that was an example. He then would call them to follow his example as he followed the example of Christ (1 Corinthians 4:16, 11:1). Let’s commit to following Paul’s example and live with integrity before others.
It’s a super Saturday Church!
A note of kindness, a specific comment of praise and thanksgiving, or a surprising financial gift can do amazing things to lift one of God’s servants and empower them to ever greater service.
Happy Friday Church!
Let’s remember our challenge is the limited resources we see but our unwillingness to bring what we have to Jesus and trust that he will do something with us, and those resources, to bless others in ways we couldn’t have dreamed!
It’s thankful Thursday Church!
Let’s praise and give thanks to Jesus our loving and sacrificial Savior as we acknowledge our need for his merciful love and mighty grace!
The midweek meditation.
An old saying says, “You can’t outgive God!” And this saying is true. The more we give to bless others and honor God, the more we have to give. Why does God bless us with riches? So we can share those riches generously with those in need, bring joy to those in despair, and give thanksgiving from all of these hearts to God.
It’s a tremendous Tuesday Church!
There are many noble and beneficial fields of academic pursuit. However, as today’s Scripture reminds us, true wisdom and the greatest understanding can be found in only one place: a reverential knowledge of God and the acknowledgment of his will with our obedience in all of our ways!
