St. Peter's Episcopal Church

On Sunday, August 11th, we invite students of all ages, teachers, principals, and school staff to bring their backpacks, computer bags, and tote bags to church with them to receive a special blessing as we begin a new school year. We will bless the backpacks at both services.

St Peter’s will recognize and give thanks for the ministry of our Acolytes at both services this Sunday. At the 10:30 service, we are asking for all Acolytes to vest and join in the processional and be presented with tokens of appreciation.

The church will be closed on Wed., August 7th for the Staff Annual Planning Retreat.
There will be no 1:30pm Holy Eucharist that day.

Acolyte Training for all youth Acolytes, new and experienced, will be on September 15th after the 10:30 worship service.

Sunday School Fair - On Sunday, August 18, all are encouraged to attend the Sunday School Fair at 9:30 am in Stockstill Hall. There will be a chance to explore our Sunday morning class offerings for ALL - from birth to 110! We'll have refreshments and fun, and opportunities to register for classes to help us grow in our faith and fellowship with each other. Please plan to join us!

Attention SPY Youth - Having fun while doing good! Homeworks July 29-31
SPY kids have a fantastic track record of doing great service and construction work projects. Walls, ramps, porches, decks, roofs and blessing boxes have been built with SPY labor. We have an excellent opportunity to do some of our signature construction work while having a great time working together in Greenville. Homeworks of America is coordinating a three-day work blitz where all the sites, tools, lunch, materials and even supervision is provided. All we have to do is sign up and show up! This translates to about 20 hours of service you can use for the school year, and 20 hours of doing great work while having fun. I hope you will join us. Quarterly Newcomer Receptions
If you are interested in learning more about St. Peter's and what it means to be a member of our church, we invite you to attend our Newcomer's Reception. You will meet Father Chuck and we will share St. Peter's story, give you a sense of our culture, our spiritual outlook and tell you how you can use your God-given gifts to serve our church family and the community. The reception is held on a Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Parlor and lasts one hour. Email the church office at [email protected] if you are interested in attending our next reception. Come and join us for the July Men’s Breakfast this Saturday! It’s a great opportunity for fellowship and good food. Whether you’re new at St. Peter’s or a long-time member, breakfast is open to all men. The breakfast cost is $10, and all profits go to charity. We look forward to seeing you on July 13th at 8:00 a.m. in Stockstill Hall.

Lemonade hosts are needed on Sunday mornings! The church provides the lemonade mix and cookies - you just need to set up on the patio and be ready to greet after the 10:30am service. Look for the sign-up sheet in the lower narthex or call the church office if you would like to volunteer. Thank you!

The Rt. Rev. Sean Rowe,!of Northwest Pennsylvania and bishop provisional of Western New York, was elected and confirmed June 26 at the 81st General Convention to serve as the 28th presiding bishop.

Hope on the Ground Mission 2024 - Please be in prayer for our Ecuador mission team of Nina Cope, Alex Dewey, Laura Lipscomb, Rafe Mauran, Sophie Mauran, Lily Wagner, Owen Wagner and Maria Williamson.
