Your pain IS real. We can help. -- Physical, vascular & regenerative pain specialists.
Hot weather and increased humidity often trigger migraines.
It's going to be hot this holiday weekend, so here are three tips to help you manage and stave off that blinding headache:
1️⃣ SNACK ON CHERRIES - studies show cherries have anti-inflammatory compounds that can help relieve pain and reduce inflammation.
2️⃣ BRING A BOTTLE - dehydration can trigger inflammation, which can trigger a migraine. Bring water everywhere you go this weekend and drink more than you think you need.
3️⃣ BIG BRIMS & BANDANAS - Wear a hat with a large brim to keep the sun off your neck and chest, not just your face. Wrap a damp bandana around your neck to help your upper body stay cool and bring a spray bottle to keep it wet while you're out.

Prolotherapy is a non-surgical treatment that many of our patients use to reduce connective tissue pain (tendons, ligaments, and cartilage).
Prolotherapy triggers your body's natural healing response by injecting a mild irritant in the painful area, leading to new, healthy cells.
The outcome is less pain and the ability to move the injured joint or tendon better.
Some conditions that have responded well to prolotherapy include:
🔘 Arthritis
🔘 Fibromyalgia
🔘 Degenerative disk disease
🔘 Back, neck and knee pain
🔘 Tennis elbow
🔘 Tendinitis
🔘 TMJ
🔘 Meniscal tears
We've found prolotherapy to be a brega help to many of our patients dealing with chronic pain or injuries.
If you're dealing with pain, you don't have to just live with it. Schedule your appointment today to get relief.

🧳 Did you know traveling can trigger a flare?
It's actually pretty common. Having a plan for how to manage it can help you recover more quickly.
Here are 3 ways to help:
1️⃣ EAT CLEAN. Certain foods (such as gluten, sugar and MSG) can make symptoms worse due to their influence on the immune system while low calorie, healthy fats and the Mediterranean diet can help reduce fibromyalgia symptoms.
2️⃣ MOVE GENTLY. Take a short 5 minute walk at the beginning of the flare. It sounds counterintuitive, but research shows gentle movement is a powerful way to help reduce symptoms.
3️⃣ SET BOUNDARIES. Many people with chronic pain hate to let others down. But, you need to allow your body time to recover from traveling. Be honest with others and allow yourself to skip non-vital events or activities for a few days after you're back home.
If you're in the area and dealing with chronic pain, we can help. Give us a call today to schedule your appointment with Dr. Terzella.

Brain fog kicking in too often?
Here are two tips to help:
👉 The brain loves patterns. One of the reasons people experience brain fog is because of a lack of routine. Add a small routine to your morning and evening, like making your coffee in a specific mug while you listen to music or going on a short walk after dinner.
👉 Write down when you're experiencing brain fog to help you find underlying reasons. It is worse on days with bad weather? At a certain time of day? What information is being forgotten? You may quickly discover a pattern, giving you the ability to tackle it more easily.
There are some medical issues that can cause brain fog, such as and lupus. If you're not seeing a pattern or it seems to be getting progressively worse, that's when you know it's time to see your doctor.

HOW TO MANAGE YOUR PAIN TODAY:
In addition to dressing warmly and getting a little active, something you might not have heard before is to stay hydrated.
When we are properly hydrated, our cells are able to maintain their structure and function. But when we become dehydrated, our cells shrink and become less flexible. This makes them more susceptible to changes in pressure and temperature, which can lead to pain.
Drink extra water today and do some light stretching to help with the aches.
And if you need more help, give us a call. We'll help you get your body back.
