A post outside of my usual to say Happy Mother’s Day to our past brides, future brides, mom-trepreneurs, and anyone else who has been given the role “Mom” throughout the years. You guys are rockstars!

Here is my Mother’s Day floral helper, who has helped me arrange some of the funnest arrangements today!

Brides, listen closely. It’s a wild ride to get to wedding day, but let’s make this clear. It’s YOUR wedding day. You celebrate how YOU want to. It’s about YOU and YOUR significant other, not your families, friends, or anyone else who has an opinion where it doesn’t belong.

This is your sign to celebrate as such. You don’t have to invite your mom’s best friends, sisters, cousin to your wedding and lose a friend who could have been there, instead, because of it.

Set boundaries when wedding planning and let yourself have fun with it. And if you can’t set those boundaries, let your wedding planner handle it for you! 😏

Will sparklers exits ever go out of style? I’m forever swooned by them, with the right state of mind, at the end of the night. Having a great end to your wedding night, is just as important as the beginning, being perfect!

If you don’t expect your guest to be able to handle putting fire out or not catch you on fire, exiting, then try an easier approach like bubbles or LED glow wands or a fake send off!

Here’s to another year of weddings at . Forever my favorite destination wedding location. This wedding was a year and a half ago and still holds near and dear to my heart.🥹

If 2023 was a drink, it would have been an Espresso Martini. What will be the drink/trend of 2024?!

When planning a wedding, what is most important to you? For me, it’s always either the food or florals! Why’s that?

Catering will be one of the most important vendors for those who love to host and care about the guest experience at their event. This is also normally one of your biggest expenses, so make it something your guest will rave about! If your budget doesn’t allow for something dramatic, talk to your Caterer or Planner, we have millions of ideas floating around in here.

Florals will forever make a space for me. Working with a blank space or a venue that may not speak to you but fits your budget best, can always become something you dreamed of, from the florals chosen. Think about ideas that can be repurposed. Those ceremony pieces are great for being repurposed! Aisle Markers make great Sweetheart Table and Cake table pieces. If your budget doesn’t support $6000 in florals, ask your florist if they can come up with some fun and creative designs that are within your budget, to get the most bang for your buck! Bud Vase Centerpieces aren’t always the cheapest option out there and we love getting to use our creativity!

This wedding cake made its way to Georgia a few weeks ago. What you see on the outside is some yummy buttercream icing…but inside is all the deliciousness of a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling on top and cookies and cream with Oreo filling in the bottom! 🍰

When picking a venue, how do you know it’s YOUR venue?

1. Does it fit in your budget including all the other vendors you are in search for?

2. Does it have the WOW factor you are looking for?

3. Does it offer all inclusive packages? If so, have you checked out their pricing for the other remaining vendors you will have to use from the venue and will that fit within your budget?

4. Does it hold the guest count you are looking to host?

5. Does it let you take the photos you are most interested in getting (example, sunset photos)?

If your venue is the right one for you, it will offer at least 85% of what you are looking for. Don’t settle for a venue just because it’s “cheap” or “within budget” and regret your big day!

The face of Bluebird Events.

For those of you who don’t know me from weddings or real life, Hey! My name is Lyndsey and I’m the Owner and Lead Designer for Bluebird Events. You know all those inquires? I handle those too!

A few fun facts about me:

•I’m a mother to a beautiful 1 year old.

•I love Fall probably the most out of all wedding seasons but Spring weddings are growing on me, rapidly.

•My hobbies include line dancing so when you play those line dances at your wedding, I may hop on the dance floor a time or two, to do them with you & your guest.

•My favorite part of weddings is the overall design. I LIVE for designing something unique for my couples. Especially ones that haven’t been done 54087 times.

•I created this business to have a D I F F E R E N T perspective on weddings. I’m all for the plain white linens & candle centerpieces, don’t get me wrong, but I also love those bright neon colors, boho designs, and unique seating charts/wedding signs. This is also why we chose to be one of the only All Inclusive Vendors in the area and service such a big area!
