It's that time of year again – time to gear up for another exciting school year! To make sure your student is ready to succeed, please refer to your student's grade level supply list for all the school supplies your child will need!

🌟 Our 11U & 12U All Star teams are both playing in the State tournament THIS WEEK! The 12U team will be playing in Florence, while the 11U team will be hosted by GLL at Conestee.

We need your help to make the 11U tournament a success. Please see the google doc below to sign up for available positions & reach out with any questions. We look forward to seeing you at Conestee beginning this Thursday night.

School may be out for summer but the learning doesn’t stop for our Blythe educators! Yesterday, Kindergarten through 3rd grade teachers participated in Lexia LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling). There’s no hibernating for these Blythe Bears! 🐾🐻🐾

Blythe Academy of Languages could not be more proud of Sra. Quintana on her well-deserved recognition!

Congratulations! Mayiber Quintana, a fifth grade math teacher at Blythe Academy of Languages, is a 2024 PAEMST State Finalist from South Carolina for a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching in the Mathematics award category.

“This remarkable achievement is a testament to Sra. Quintana’s unwavering commitment to student success and her exceptional dedication to fostering a love for math and science through the Spanish language,” said Blythe Academy Principal Steven Sokohl. “Her passion for education shines brightly through her innovative teaching methods and her tireless efforts to support each and every child in our school community. Her impact on our students' lives extends far beyond the classroom, and we are incredibly proud of her accomplishments.”

Each year, up to three finalists in each award category from every U.S. state and jurisdiction are forwarded to a National Selection Committee. The teachers chosen to be Presidential Awardees will be notified by the White House and honored in Washington, D.C.

In addition, we want to continue our tradition of a congratulatory yard sign for EVERY 5th grader! These signs are initially displayed in carline and then each student gets to take theirs home to proudly display. These signs are $10/child. If you are able, please consider sponsoring another child in addition to your own so we can ensure every 5th grader has their own personal sign.

It would take us longer than a week to express just how thankful we are for our volunteers all across Greenville County Schools. Volunteers help our teachers, schools and students in so many ways, and we appreciate all they do to make each day brighter.
