Over 160 Greenville County GOP patriots came to see the Reagan movie tonight at Regal Hollywood & RPX - Greenville.

The timeliness of the themes to today was almost shocking. This nonpartisan film is unifying: the “bad guy” is communism. It was infiltrating America in the 70’s and 80’s without our knowledge and it is maddening to see history repeating itself with many doing nothing to stop it.

Go see it! Great film.

As we start this final week for candidates to file for school board trustee positions, let’s think about transparency and accountability metrics we applied to County Council.

It was revealing that in this two page spread of Q and A about our schools that features superintendent Royster - there is not a single bit of info about the budget for our schools or that most of the Trustees voted to increase our taxes just as County Council did with little explanation as to why and certainly no discussion of how to more with less as every taxpayer household is having to do these days.

This culture of open dialogue and civil discourse contributed significantly to the development of American political thought and the eventual founding of the nation, as ideas about governance, democracy, and liberty were hashed out in these convivial settings.

In keeping with the traditions of our forefathers, we are hosting a Brews & Ballots event this Saturday. This is not an endorsement for any political party or candidate. We believe in the entirety of the Democratic process (although if Prohibition came back, we would have some serious decisions to make 😅). If you have a group interested in hosting something similar, please reach out as this one did.
