One of our M-Groups held a tailgating gathering tonight before the Berea High football game, offering BBQ cheesy nachos at no charge.

It was another worshipful day in God’s house as His Body of believers came together to celebrate Him.

It was a joy to gather as God's people yesterday to worship the Lord.

Today we're celebrating with a young man who decided to recommit his life to Christ beginning with baptism, and 7 first time guests.

We praise Jesus for all He is doing in our midst.

Today was a historical day in the life of Monaghan Baptist Church as we took a leap of faith by voting to be replanted with The Calvary Family of Churches.

By replanting with the CFC, we will honor the legacy of those who’ve come before us while also looking to the future of making Jesus non-ignorable in Greenville and beyond.

TONIGHT!!!!

We will meet at Monaghan Baptist tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM to break into groups and go prayer walk Berea Elementary, Berea Middle, and Berea High schools.

Meet at the church Saturday at 10:00AM. We’ll break into groups and make our way to Berea Elementary, Middle, and High Schools to offer prayers over the students, parents, teachers, administrators, and staff.

Following yesterday’s storm, our phones and internet are down. Please email or text in case of an emergency. We’ll give an update when one is available.

Today was a combined baptism and communion service with our brothers and sisters from La Roca Church. It was a beautiful time of worship that reminded me of the Apostle John’s vision in Revelation:

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Rev. 7:9-10

Emily Messick Holtzclaw posted this quote to her Facebook story earlier and I decided to read the devotional from Proverbs 31. The devotional is meant for ladies but the message is something I desperately needed to hear from the Lord today.

Dependent Faith on God means less faith in myself and my wants. Instead, it means that I must set aside my idea of control and trust the goodness of God and His purpose for my life.

I encourage you to read this devotional whether you’re a man or a woman because it’s something we all need to know and understand.
