As we continue operational recovery, we apologize for the disruptions many customers are experiencing. Canceling a flight is always a last resort and not taken lightly. We take seriously the trust placed in us to deliver the reliability customers have come to expect from Delta.

We’ve extended the travel waiver for customers with travel booked July 19 through July 21. This offers the ability to make a one-time change to their itinerary. The fare difference will be waived when travel occurs on or before July 26.

We’re notifying customers about delays and cancellations in their itinerary via the Fly Delta app and text message and offering re-booking options that can be managed online.

While you can monitor and manage your itineraries on http://dl.aero/6180lpGIu or the Fly Delta app, these tools have been inundated with traffic, causing intermittent performance challenges. We’re aware and working to stabilize them.

Customers in need of assistance for travel within the next 24 hours should call 1-(800)-221-1212 if they are unable to use http://dl.aero/6180lpGIu or the Fly Delta app. Due to high customer volumes our ability to respond on social media is limited.

We will be covering eligible expenses for impacted customers resulting from this flight disruption, including providing meal vouchers, hotel accommodations where available and ground transportation.

July 19-21, 2024 operation | Delta News Hub Delta continued its operational recovery Sunday following an outside vendor technology issue that prompted the airline and many others to pause flying for several hours on Friday.

Delta has resumed some flights after a vendor technology issue impacting airlines and businesses globally. We have issued a travel waiver for all customers who have booked flights departing Friday, July 19, and customers can monitor and manage their itineraries on Delta.com or the Fly Delta app.
