Belly Dance Series - Saturdays at 10:00am - Taal School of Dance and The Indian Arts, 1145 E. Butler Rd, Greenville, SC 29607

We are starting the new series with great, carefully curated classic Middle Eastern songs to include a variety of styles, lyrical for flowy expression, percussive for clean, precise movement and few in between to expand middle eastern dance experience. In this new class series we’ll integrate technique and conditioning, steps combinations that can be adapted to various songs and rhythms, and the first part of choreography on the popular, fun, exhilarating song “Melody of Heartbeat “, which is a drum solo.

Levels: beginner -advanced

After much fun in the spring and summer with BellyFit class (we actually managed to sneak in two fun, drum solo routines) we are ready for new Oriental dance classes this fall.

We'll start with 2 sessions of belly dance technique and conditioning, suitable for all levels (beginner to advance) on September 17 and 24).

Then we'll follow with 2 series of classes (6 weeks each):
- Serie I - October 1, 8 , 15, 22, 29 & November 5 ($75, or $15/drop-in).
- Serie II - November 5 (2 classes on this day), 12, 19 & December 3, 10, 17 ($75, or $15/drop-in).

More details on class content to follow. Both series of classes are suitable for all levels, but for beginners I highly recommend the technique and conditioning prep classes in September as pre-requisite.

Happy to announce the beginning of the next bellydance series at Taal Dance Studio in Greenville!

Taught by guest teacher Brigitte, this 7 week class, beginning 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16 will be a wonderful introduction to the practice of Dance Orientale. This series is suitable for first timers building moves from the ground up, as well as anyone wanting to enhance, refine, and layer their presentation. We will focus on basic techniques PLUS a simply stunning choreography that you can show off to your family and friends by the end of the series.

Feel free to invite interested friends! The cost is $15 per class per person. If you pay $75 up front, you can attend all 7 classes for the price of 5. Cash, check or Venmo. Dates are July 16, 23, 30 and August 6, 13, 20, 27.

Intermediate Level class on Wednesdays at 7:00pm is FULL.

Due to mild illness of Beginners class registrants and abundance of precaution the Beginners class will start on January 12 at 6:00pm. There are a couple of available spots. PM me if you'd like to secure your spot for this session.

Belly Dance – Beginner Level - Class includes oriental rhythms, conditioning, posture & poses, moves and basic transitions
Wednesdays 6:00-6:50pm – January 12-February 23, 2022 - $105

Belly Dance – Intermediate Level - Class focus is on flow, intermediate level moves and combinations, elegant transitions on faster rhythms (class full)

7:00-7:50pm – Intermediate Level - $125
