Prayer Focus for March 17-23
“Missional Partnerships”
Scripture: Philippians 1:3-5 (NIV) “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Acts 1:8 (NIV) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Questions for Reflection and Prayer: In this day of denominational confusion and polarization, how do we best define our identity as Earle Street Baptist Church? By our missional engagements and partnerships? By our denominational identity or a lack of clearly defined denominational distinctiveness? In our fall congregational conversations we talked about being a centered set church with missional partnerships with various groups, denominations, etc. How is God leading us to affirm the mission God has for us and in what ways will we partner with other groups to carry out the work of God’s kingdom?
We would love to see you tomorrow! Invite a friend!
Holy Week begins on Sunday, March 24th with our Palm Sunday Celebration! Make plans to attend our special services and events this week as we celebrate our risen King!
