Hundreds of Jolley Tales Ministry booklets in SWAHILI were printed by World Missions Bearing Precious Seed and arrived in Kenya where local pastors and churches are using them to give to the children within their ministry outreaches.

Most of these children have never owned their own book and this is a treasured gift. Each booklet was printed in full color and contains the clear plan of salvation with supporting Bible verses.

The gracious giving of God’s people made this possible! We are looking for partners to continue to invest in our unique children’s ministries.

This is a special way to invest in the life of a child as we “Reach Little Ones Around The World With The Truth Of God’s Word!” (Our Mission Statement)

MEET THE FAMILY! 🤍

Bethany, age 25, is a recent graduate of Bob Jones University and currently works in a private Law Firm near her home in Historic Greenville.

She has been the beautiful alto voice in her family since a small child and is also a gifted pianist, serving on “Second Piano” with Cherith or her mother for many years and has recently transitioned to “First Piano” since Cherith married last year and joined her husband’s church in Maryland.

Bethany loves to crochet handmade gifts for others. She is an avid reader and history buff. She has made her church library into a wonderful place for children of all ages to get lost in the pages of a good book.

Her latest endeavor is a hen-house converted from the family play-land. The fresh eggs gathered each day from her pet hens have been a welcome addition. She also enjoys baking homemade sourdough bread!

Bethany is a blessing to all who know her as she faithfully invests into the lives of others, sharing Christ’s love and biblical encouragement.

Her life exemplifies Molly’s character trait of humility and Polly’s character trait of generosity / She was one of the inspirations behind the sweet stories of Jolley Tales. 🤍🐭📖

Molly's Muffins, A Lesson in Humility!!!🐭📚🧁

This book continues the family adventure while getting to learn more about Jolley and his sisters! It is the first book to also introduce many of their adorable woodland friends.

One of the favorite paintings in this book is the Two-Page charming watercolor of the "Woodland Fair" where our readers are introduced to so many special details of Jolley Tales Land!

10,000 Jolley Tales Ministry booklets in Hebrew were printed by World Missions Bearing Precious Seed last month and should arrive any day in the Ukraine where local churches will be handing them out along with food and medical supplies to a large Jewish population of refugees.

Meet the Family 🤍

DAVID, age 27, is an IFR pilot, continuing his training with the desire to be used for future flight ministry.

He is a gifted pianist and enjoyed serving a summer on tour with the men’s singing group while at Golden State Baptist College.

He uses his musical talents in his local church (where he has grown up)and has provided male tenor or bass in the church men’s group for many years and has been singing with his family since a young child.

David is an active airman and also serves in the SC Air Guard. He recently was promoted to Senior Airman and now also works full time on the Air Force Base in Columbia SC.

He commutes weekends between his home there and his family home in Greenville, SC, while continuing his personal training to become a Flight Instructor.

NOTE: The Jolley Tales characters and stories were created by Lydia when her children were very young. Jolley Mouse was “David” during their family story time.

It was a special joy to specifically dedicate the first published book, Jolley’s Tail, A Lesson in Obedience, to David her oldest son just last year! 🤍🐭📖

Working with a translator, this special edition was included for our ministry into the Ukraine since some refugees are on the border and speak only Russian. We are excited to see what the Lord can do with this language and future ministry needs.

These ministry booklets are in 9 different languages and are available for purchase on our website as a great gift (it’s a coloring book for the child to color their way through the storybook!) and also serves as a special evangelistic tool to share the gospel (a clear salvation message is printed inside back cover page!)

MEET THE FAMILY 🤍

CHERITH, age 29, taught and later served as the director of Fine Arts at Tabernacle Christian School in Greenville, SC for a total of 9 years.

She is a talented musician and regularly plays piano and harp for weddings and special events.

She has provided female tenor and beautiful piano accompaniment for her family and several church singing groups since a young girl.

She also began a well-loved side business called Corner Street Finds while living at home and loved being an entrepreneur.

Cherith is now enjoying the bliss of newly married life to her best friend, Spencer Shiflett.

Married in the Fall of 2023, she and Spencer live in Baltimore, MD where they minister together at their church.

She also is investing in future church musicians with her private piano studio.

Our French translation was provided by Dr. Kadio and Dr. Rob Loach (both college professors and experts of this beautiful language.)

These beautiful full color booklets include the plan of salvation and were specifically created for the Children of Ivory Coast Africa for medical missions outreach. Two Baptist churches covered the cost of printing expenses to provide 2,000 books for these precious children coming through a hospital in Ivory Coast. Most of these children will have never owned their own book and treasure these as a precious gift of love.

Not only is Lydia the author of the Jolley Tales series, but she is also a mother of four (now young adult) children that she has always lovingly called her “treasures.” She considers motherhood her highest calling.

Over the next four weeks, we are going to be doing a “Meet the Family” section, where you can meet each of her children and discover a little bit more about The Riley Family!

Note: Lydia homeschooled her children for 9 year before they entered into private education and has been involved in teaching and investing herself into children's ministries for over 30 years.

Cherith, her oldest daughter, is a 3rd generation Christian School Teacher.
