Join us this Saturday 9/14 from 3-5 p.m. for live music with the Awen Family Band in our “Great Hall” garage. Awen Family Band is a nationally touring world boogie collective. They blend roots music from around the globe such as Zydeco, Bluegrass, Afrobeat, Wassalou (West Africa), Old Time, Swing and Psychedelic Boogie topped with lyrics spreading the message for all who seek to hear.

We’re stoked for live music with Brother Oliver this Friday 9/13 from 7-9 PM. Known for their psychedelic / folk-rock stylings, Brother Oliver was one of the early pioneers of electrifying the mandolin through effects, and were on the leading edge of the brewery-boom music circuit.

Over the years, Brother Oliver has shared the stage with iconic acts—The Steve Miller Band, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, SUSTO, of Montreal, and many more. The band has been critically acclaimed by major outlets such as HuffPost, American Songwriter, PopMatters—and their music has been featured in Film & TV soundtracks on HBO and PBS.

🍺 New Beer Release: “It’s Five O’Bock Somewhere!” Bock beer is a German-style lager that’s darker, stronger and maltier than a Märzen. We brewed 5 O’Bock Somewhere with Riverbend Chesapeake Pilsner, Light Munich, Vienna and Double-Kilned Munich which provide malty-rich notes of molasses and dark fruits like cherries, plus Hallertau Mittelfrüh and Saaz hops (and a dose of Jimmy Buffet!) to give this bock a slightly herbal, resiny finish.

Join us for live music with the West End String Band this Friday night 9/6 from 6-9 PM. The upstate based West End String Band is dedicated to playing and performing traditional bluegrass music and old country songs with modern appeal.

🌾 September is Craft Malt Month! This is an industry-wide celebration of the small grains supply chain that helps produce craft beer and spirits! At the ❤️ of it all is craft malt made by craft maltsters.

Like the terroir with wine grapes and winemaking, we believe local and regional ingredients like malt shape our beers, offering fresh flavors unique to the Carolinas! Southeastern-grown malt is a significant portion of the malt we use at Fireforge - around 75% of the total grain that we use in our beer recipes.

Stay tuned for when our collaboration 🍺 - a ROGGENBIER - brewed with our friends at The Southern Growl and Riverbend Malt House is available on tap soon. A roggenbier traditionally has a hearty, spicy rye flavor reminiscent of rye or pumpernickel bread.

We always forward to mid-week festivities! So we’re excited that this Wednesday, September 4th, “Not Your Grandma’s Bingo” with host Randy Ryan is back at Fireforge. Join us for eight rounds of old school bingo and some great prizes from 6-8 pm. Free to play!

🍻Tickets are available for “Crafted in Carolina,” on Saturday, October 12th for a celebration of South Carolina craft beer in Columbia, SC at Segra Park! This beer festival will showcase tastings of over 150 beers from more than 60 SC-based breweries, plus local and regional artisans, a children’s area, and live music! 🍺 Now on Tap: “Fade To Schwarz” Black Lager. Also known as a Schwarzbier, this lager is richly flavored, yet lighter-bodied and easy-drinking - dark beer option for warmer weather! Enjoy notes of graham cracker, toffee, baker’s chocolate and Tootsie Roll. Brewed with Southeastern-grown Riverbend Chesapeake Pilsner and Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops.

🌈The More You Know: Schwarzbier is a low gravity beer with dark beer characteristics from the dark malts in the recipe, however it lacks the roasty bite of a stout, making it highly flavorful and drinkable. Schwarzbier translates to “black beer” in German.

Join us this Monday for our Labor Day Cookout! We’ll be open Labor Day Monday from 12-7 pm and feature a special food menu of house-made 🍔 smash burgers, 🌭 grilled kielbasa & quesadillas. 🎃 Just in time for faux-fall, seasonal favorite, “The Spice Is Right” Imperial Pumpkin Ale is back on draft and in cans! Brewed with Carolina Malt House’s malted oats and special ingredients: pumpkin, maple syrup, vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, whole clove, allspice and ginger, we have created a balanced and highly-drinkable pumpkin ale, that finishes reasonably dry and isn’t overly sweet despite the intensity of flavor. His passionate performance, aided by his wife Sara, on percussion, is bringing the sound back to Fireforge Beer. It’s a most wonderful time of the year - our Oktoberfest beer release - with the promise of Fall and our Oktoberfest celebration (September 27th-29th) right around the corner! Oktoberfest, also referred to as Märzen or Festbier, is a German-style lager, malt-forward with a hint of noble hops - balanced, not too sweet, and designed for all-day festing.

Our Oktoberfest was brewed with Carolina Pilsner, Light Munich, Bestmalz Dark Munich and Vienna malts and Hallertau Mittelfrüh (a German noble hop). Enjoy a malty, bready, toasty, hint of floral hop experience.
