Y’all, I took this picture during a “calm” yesterday! You really showed up for D&Dx2 Summer Solstice (which is what I should have called the event because it was Dungeons & Dragons and but oh well). Attendance beat out both our Spring Equinox and .art which is crazy. It was hot, but we all had a lot of fun, right!

I guess the next few months will be ones with a lot of words. We are even more sad to announce that our bar lead will be spending her last week with us next week. Our last day with will be Friday, 6/28!

Erin has been with us behind the bar for over an unprecedented two years! That void will not go unnoticed. Erin along with Lauren has been responsible for our most beautiful signs. Be prepared for signs that look like a caveman drew them.

On top of making us look good, Erin has been a great partner behind the scenes making sure you get the meads you love. She has been our mead bottler for the last year and is responsible for making sure Adam is focusing on mead priorities. If we have something in stock you are looking for, it’s because of Erin. If it’s it not in stock, blame Adam. With her gone, who’s going to reel that guy in now?

This is going to be one of those posts that are going around. This has nothing to do with insurance. Our lease at Hampton Station is up at the end of the year and that will be it for us. Our last day fully open to the public will be November 3, exactly one day short of 7 years to the day after we first opened to the public. I'd like to thank everyone who joined us on this journey. Is there a post Hampton Station future for Wandering Bard Meadery? Maybe.

That said, we have a lot planned between now and then.

Concert series brings intimate, acoustic shows to Wandering Bard Meadery: Upstate Beat It makes perfect sense that Ash Lennox and his event company/record label/artist-development company Sour Cherry Records & Events have launched a new concert series at Wandering Bard Meadery on Hampton Avenue.

The state of SC now officially classifies mead as a beer and I have been told that they are telling breweries that they are allowed to make mead, which is wrong! Remember that TTB also regulates what breweries make and TTD considers mead a WINE. You would need a winery license under TTB to make mead.
