We love seeing new projects near our office locations! This project is the new AVMAC office in Chesapeake, VA. Britt, Peters provided structural engineering for the new AVMAC office and warehouse. The building is 25,000 SF (total) with a conventional steel framed office and pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) warehouse. The office building is a two story, steel framed building with open web steel joists and w-shape girders at the roof. The second floor is non-composite slab on deck supported by open web steel joists and w-shape girders. The building entrance tower is open to the roof with steel supported nana wall system and a cantilevered canopy. At the PEMB, BPA provided foundation design services in addition to custom steel canopies at front facing doors. The building feature elements are the corner office storefronts, entrance tower geometry & nana-wall system and the custom triangular canopy at the warehouse entrance. The new office will serve as the headquarters for 16 employees in Aviation Maintenance and Shipboard Integration!

4 Farms at Horse Pen Creek is another newly built multifamily project in Greensboro, NC. We love seeing new projects come to completion!

The Scotland Memorial Hospital expansion in Laurinburg, NC is officially topped-out! The project is a $45 million expansion of the Imaging Department, building new Operating Rooms, and renovating the Surgical Services Department.

Our latest project near our Norfolk, VA office is the Lofts at Front St.! The complex is 4.5 acres and includes a parking garage, outdoor pool, rooftop balcony, observation deck viewing the river and a kayak launch. The Lofts has 238-units and the structure includes 779 piles, CMU Walls, concrete ties, and wood frame above the foundation.

Update photos from The Hub at Nexton, in Summerville, SC! This master-planned, mixed-use community will have shops, offices, homes, and restaurants and are conveniently located near Charleston, SC. The Hub will feature 50,000 SF of office space across four buildings.

Welcome to Charleston's newest boutique hotel! Located in the bustling north end of downtown Charleston on the lively Meeting street, the Moxy hotel features 131 rooms for guests of the peninsula. The 7-story, 66,500 SF Moxy Hotel features a rooftop bar and restaurant that overlooks the Cooper River. The hotel also features a 1,200 SF meeting room, lounge area, and 24/7 fitness area. We are excited to see how this project turned out!

40 Line Street in Charleston, SC is making progress! The development will change the area around Charleston's Lowline district and add 293 apartment units as well as 8,000 SF of ground floor retail.

The windows are being installed in the new UCB headquarters! This building will be a great addition to downtown Greenville!

The last piece of precast was installed on the Spartanburg County Courthouse! It is getting close to completion. We are excited to see this project coming to fruition!

Update from the new CaroMont Health Hospital building in Belmont, NC!

The hospital will be approximately 300,000 SF with a 15,000 SF Central Energy Plant, a 4 story 100,000 SF Medical Office Building, and a 650 space parking deck.

Our Brevard St. projects in Charlotte with .clt are making great progress! 1816 N. Brevard is a 7 story building consisting of 5 stories of CLT floors over a two-story concrete podium including 260 residential units, 88 parking spaces, exterior courtyard, and retail and amenity space. Total square footage is approximately 307,000 square feet. 420 E. 22nd St. is a 7-story building consisting of 5 stories of CLT floors over a two-story concrete podium including 110 residential units and retail and amenity space. The total square footage is approximately 97,000 square feet. We're very excited to be part of the new mass timber buildings in Charlotte!
