Y’all know the drill! Every year for our Christmas Social, we support a non-profit or charity that serves our community, and this year we will be having a toy drive for Project Hope Foundation.
Project Hope is a wonderful, local non-profit organization that provides a lifespan of services to the autism community through programs that Help families, Open minds, Promote inclusion, and Expand potential.
We are so thankful for all of the work they do for the Upstate and we are excited to help support them through this toy drive 🧸
Young Greenville stands in full support of Greenville County Councilman Stan Tzouvelekas, as he plans to introduce a resolution during tomorrow's Greenville County Council meeting to revoke the business registration of Greenville Women's Clinic, the only abortion facility in the Upstate. We urge every member of Greenville County Council to vote for the resolution.
"For the safety of the citizens of Greenville County, Greenville Women's Clinic must be shut down," said Hayden Turlington, Chairwoman of YG. "The Sheriff's Office has responded to over 300 incidents at this particular facility, made approximately 20 arrests, and I personally know individuals who have been assaulted just outside of this facility. My pro-life beliefs aside, I cannot imagine that these incidents would be allowed to continue at any other business with no repercussions, especially when the safety of the community is at stake."
While our club is proudly pro-life and opposes abortion in general, we believe that GWC is a nuisance to our community and must be shut down based on the actions taken by GWC as outlined in Councilman Tzouvelekas' resolution. In keeping with the statement we released earlier this year, Young Greenville supports effective solutions and policy that protect our community, and we urge Greenville County Council to support such solutions and policy by voting for this resolution.
Talk about starting the year right! We are thrilled to introduce our Keynote Speaker for the first Annual Young Greenville Gala on January 11th...
Johnny Joey Jones!
Johnny Joey Jones is a retired American marine, motivational speaker, and TV personality. He is a regular FOX Network contributor. His story is a powerful example of strength in the face of adversity.

Wow, what an incredible night! We were blown away by the generosity of our YG ladies at our Sugar & Life event last Thursday. We were able to collect 50+ handwritten cards, along with a car full of donations to Piedmont Women's Center in support of moms who choose life 💕 Thank you to all who attended, and to our pop-up shops, speakers, and sponsor, The Randall House in Greer.
-Karis Sutherland, Community Compassion Chair
We have seen the news regarding potential new ordinances impacting pro-life and pro-abortion protesters on Grove Road. As a board, we believe this is an incredibly important topic.
We are proudly pro-life and often work together with local organizations such as Piedmont Women’s Center. Many of our members are involved with Campaign for Abortion Free Greenville and have seen first hand the disturbing demonstrations and rhetoric at the protests on Grove Rd.
“The situation has escalated to extreme measures. Both sides have a right to assemble and speak, but those sides do not behave the same. One visit to Grove Road shows which group is hostile, aggressive and disrespectful to others” -Kendall Dittmar
We believe the individual right to speak is a foundational American right - as is the right for the individual to protect themselves from harm.
We also support law enforcement in their efforts to enforce the law as it stands today, including protecting those who desire to peacefully pray and support the right to life on Grove Road.
We believe that the new ordinance as it stands will be ineffective and will potentially infringe upon the rights of citizens in Greenville.
We are also deeply concerned for the safety of the members of the pro-life community who attend these demonstrations, since we have witnessed aggressive words and behaviors by pro-abortion protestors as they cheer for deaths of the unborn.
We are actively working to offer solutions and support effective policy that protects our community, especially as it relates to this vital issue of speaking for the unborn.
“We need your help! Every vote counts. Come join us and Randall Fowler as we turn out the vote for his race to Greenville City Council! 🇺🇸 this is a great way to get involved and spend time with fellow conservatives!
We look forward to welcoming the Campaign for Abortion Free Greenville, SC to our women’s event this Thursday!
From the founder, Hayden Laye: “CAFC Greenville is a part of Students For Life of America's Campaign for Abortion Free Cities. We fight for an abortion free Greenville, Palmetto State, and America through activism. We participate in sidewalk outreach and prayer outside the abortion center on Grove Rd in Greenville and we organize rallies and protests in Greenville and at the State House calling for a pro-life Greenville.”
Want to learn more or join the group’s efforts? Follow and visit their table at our Sugar & Life event! Registration link is below.
