I would like to ask friends and followers to donate to my life’s mission- to improve the lives of children with profound Autism growing into adult children with Profound Autism and then are practically left to their own devices without Autism Therapies (unless parents have an endless stream of money). Our adult children often vegetate in group homes on the weekends due to increased workforce shortage and a lack of adequate funding for Autism training and low funding of the Department of Developmental Svcs by our government.
We cannot leave those with profound usually nonverbal adults behind - who take more time and patience to train for jobs in Cafés, in bakeries and places they like.
They like even menial jobs for the pride and recognition they get.
Friends of Autistic People The FAP is an Autism Education and Advocacy nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with autism spectrum disorders and their families - in particular those from financially struggling families.

“Ha! I had my roots done - here I come!- actually late pm restlessness is setting in. I have profound Autism and can’t speak to tell my feelings. I hate to talk about that anyway. Mom and Ill do a firm long calming hug as soon as we get back to the group home. I really love that hug and boy, do I need that hug. The Sunday staff is so cold. Then a healthy dinner with fresh cooked veggies will also help make me feel better. “
“We’re communicating via IPad but mom mostly expresses what’s on my mind by talking with me and explaining about goings on in my life. She mostly reads my very well. “
Vanessa yesterday “Mom is taking me to have my roots done !”

We’ll advocate with group home manager supervisor to return to custom to have staff and together create their own , such as , .
That’ll be a instead of spending hours alone in room tearing down blinds and shower curtain in frustration and at the same time teach our with .
We parents/ Vanessa have given in of staff’s services a mini Christmas tree, potted plants for living/ communal room. We’re getting a new group home manager (hooray!). Big hopes that he will not just grab and shove parents‘ gifts from table in a corner as did the terminated one.
Wish staff still did the once in a while on Vanessa. Wish they polished her nails with one of Vanessa’s many polishes.
Anyway, apart from the New black drapes with sheer white inners and large almost black rug, black couch and lights off in afternoon making the living communal room extremely somber - depressing we came in the door- we all had a good Father’s Day.
